What SAK are ya totin' today?

I've been accumulating Wengers and I like the 85mm size as well....some cool toolsets too. Look at this one called the Cyclist.

I like that Cyclist alot! I have been searching for something to carry when biking without too much weight. All I have came up with is a MT in my back pack! :)

I like that! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one.

Ken, I always admire your sheaths; that's another beauty!:thumbup: What kind of thread do you use to stitch them? Do you stitch using just needle and thread, or do you have a "hand tool" stitcher?

I'm hoping to have some time over the holidays to try making a simple sheath for myself out of leather reclaimed from an old ball glove. I've been planning to use something like rawhide to stitch it, and see if I can figure out "whip stitching", but maybe stitching with thread would be easier for a first attempt. Anyway, my first one will be pretty soft and shapeless; some day maybe I can try to learn to make nicely-formed ones like yours!

Thanks for giving it the
I hand stitch my work just the old fashioned way with two needles .
I use 1.4mm Mox Poly Braid Waxed thread that came in a 400m spool , so I guess I'll be using it for a few more years :)
Without seeing of touching the leather you have its hard to advise you on the best course of action , but I suspect stitching with thread might be easier .
If I can help in anyway , just PM me , I'm always interested in helping others discover a love for leather .

Thanks for the helpful information, Ken. And I appreciate your offer of help; I might take you up on that sometime once I know what kind of challenges a leather project gives me. Right now I'm too leather-ignorant to know what questions I should ask.

Thanks, my friend! The Climber / Super Tinker is a real working horse and it appears in the pockets ... especially on that vertical cellphone pocket of that vest which is way too small for my cell phone ;)

My Cadet is always in my pocket. Great knife. Getting ready to pick one up for my wife.

I love your work Ken!!! your designs are amazing:thumbup: Love the Stichless here my friend---use it every day!!!

Thanks Paul,
I still have a little bit of a nervous twitch about the Stitchless , but it seems its hanging in there which is great news , and so far it has confirmed my original thoughts that it would work .
I've been trying different Lanyards on the above sheath , the one in those pics was always just a temporary one until I perfected a better design .
As what is often the case the simplest design is usually the best and I've scrapped my original ideas and just tidied up that simple one .
Here is a couple of pics .
