  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What SAK are ya totin' today?

Farmer and Wenger Traveler today.

For some reason, I very rarely carry any SAK but my old Wenger SI anymore. Of all the SAK's I have owned and used, this one has become my favorite SAK to carry. Often it shares pocket time with my Northwoods stockman, my other favorite pocket knife. But if I had to walk out the door in a Bilbo Baggins moment with a small pack, knowing I wasn't coming back, the SI would be in my pocket. As much as I like my few other knives that survived the grab downsizing, my SI is my go-to pocket knife. It's almost like the thought has entered my mind that "I have my SI, I don't need another knife." (except maybe my stockman!)

The dynamic duo together.

I learned quickly from my Alox Pox that of the patterns that I could have (even custom) I like the standard Pioneer model for EDC. It's just a great pattern with an all around set of tools. Plus I really like the two layer Alox SAK's. Three layers is okay like the farmer but the two layers feels great in hand - not too thick not too thin :)

That is an incredible sheath, Paul! Was it custom made for a Pioneer, or is the perfect fit just a happy coincidence?

^^^ Well, rumor is something like that... To say I feel fortunate would be a major understatement :)

Today was the red Alox Farmer

This arrived in the post yesterday , I had almost forgotten I'd ordered it in a moment of weakness .
Glad that I did now that I can see it in the flesh .
So I've been carrying it all day today in one of my Pruner sheaths which of course it fits perfectly .
