I was being clever and took a pic of my Micarta Spartan that315 gave me, with hot air balloons in the background... But in my haste to chase the balloons to there landing sight I forgot about the knife sitting on my tool box, as it sat in the photo. I was so cranky when I had remembered I left it on the back of the ute. We had driven over rough ground, dirt roads and highways speeds back into town. While my wife went into the bakery for some fresh bread I got out to see if there was even a small chance my knife could be in the back of my ute.
Below is how I found it.![]()

That is perfect. It is a wonder you carry it at all.I had some errands to run in town and I thought I was going to be taking the truck and picking up some bark maple trees to plant at my house and my daughters house but plans have changed. I brought the old cross farmer along, just in case I needed that little saw

I have been wanting one of those. So if you ever want to sell please PM.
Jim, it was my little fella I was concentrating on, getting him on and off the ute safely to get the best view of the balloons.Danwhat were you thinking buddy?? I’m glad you found it and would’ve been bummed if you lost it. But it’s your son you would have to answer to. If I remember correctly, he had taken a liking to it, so don’t upset him

Your right we had it yesterday because it is one of his favorites.
A trip into the mountains yesterday

Found some old elk sign, or Bigfoot droppings

But the coolest part of the trip was spotting this Bobcat!! It wasn’t afraid of me and was about 15 yards from it at one point.

Latest studies into bigfoot poo show it's a cross between cow and bear droppings so I'm afraid to say Jim the droppings you have may be from a sick bigfootA trip into the mountains yesterday
