I thought I posted this last night, or early this morning actually (that may have been the problem), but I apparently failed. Take Two almost 24 hours later: :(

This pioneer is a little over a year and for the first few months it was just my weekend carry in a dedicated pocket, kept nicely. But since then I've been doing a lot of work in NYC so I swapped out my regular work edc for the pioneer and well I guess it's been "ridden hard and put away wet" more than a few times.

I like the way it's looking, Captain!:thumbup: I picked up a black Pioneer just before Christmas, but it hasn't had much success in moving my Electrician out of my pocket. But maybe I'll just let my Pioneer ride along unused in with my keys so it can start getting that "been around the block a time or two" look that I sport myself! :D

Nearly lost her at the metal detectors outside the soccer match last night. But the cop took pity on me. With 10,000 people waiting to be scanned, she didn't want to stop just for a SAK. Have to remember to check all my pockets next time.

Geez, Scott, that's a scary story!:eek: I once had to hide a little Chinese knock-off of a Vic Classic I had on my keychain under some bushes outside a museum when I went to look at a Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. That was many years ago (way before 9/11) and I had never heard of not being able to have a knife in your pocket, but the Israeli security detail that accompanied the exhibit were nice but no-nonsense and that 1.5 inch blade was NOT going in!

SAK Explorer

Nice Explorer!:thumbup: Is the lanyard part of a Kiwi shoelace? I think I was looking at that exact style/color at the store this evening!

I know I'm not allowed to ask, so take this as a rhetorical question, but , man, where do you folks find these Alox treasures??:confused: I saw your Pioneer in some other thread first, Paul, and as I said there, that blue is just AWESOME! Congrats!!:thumbup::cool::cool:

Had one of Dad's old badges out today.....

Good for you, SAK Guy!!

I forgot to post the SAK I toted today. It ain't pretty, but it actually doesn't perform badly for an inexpensive Chinese knock-off. My wife bought me a set of 5 assorted knives/multitools plus a worthless flashlight, all in a nylon pouch; I think they came from Sears. Included the first tactical folder I'd ever seen that I laughed at; it had a horrible, defective liner lock. But a big and a small SAK and a big and a small multitool weren't bad. I pulled out the big SAK today, to show off my commitment to diversity!

:thumbup: Those are great gifts GT because they make appreciate your real gear....besides it was from your wife...that's priceless right there.

No photos yet, but a Victorinox Pioneer Settler and a Victorinox Signature.

Storm damage around the farm so a DLX Tinker, Orange Farmer and Mora 511 along with a Laplander saw (and probably an ax in the truck)....
