Beautiful! Love the blue alox!

My Wenger SI has taken up residence in my bicycle's handlebar bag. I've got one of those fancy Park multitools, but it does not have a knife or a caplifter!

Electrician today again, found out the best part about a sak. A few licks on a ceramic croc pot and it's utility sharp. I really need to get me a small stone for sharpening though.

I'm tempted to go to the nearest pottery or housewares store, turn everything upside down, and pull out a few knives. In 15 minutes or so, I could probably have a selection of ceramic sharpeners picked out. If they didn't call security first.

Next time my wife looks for any ceramic ware, I will be "testing" it out lol.

Thanks Scott, I have a Park Tool as well...my biking days have dwindled over the last couple of years.

The SI is a fantastic knife...love the lanyard tube/hole.

Blue ALOX again today with a touch of LA Unica Cigar today:D

Coffee mug! I got a new SAK Bantam recently and decided to drop it in my pocket without sharpening it first. The edge was good but there was a little bit of burr left. Sharpened it up on the bottom of my coffee mug, then stropped it on a piece of scrap cardboard that I have loaded up with green compound and that thing was arm-hair shaving sharp.

I love knives that are easy to sharpen, even if it means they need it more frequently.

My trusty Cadet and its big brother the Hunstman.

For the past six months or so, I've been totally digging the Cadet. I find these are the tools I really need, and I love the esthetics and form factor. Having said that... maybe it's time to bring out/back my very first SAC, this Small Tinker.

My Dad gave me this in 1968... He brought it back from a business trip to Manhattan, from Abercrombe & Fitch back when Abercrombe & Fitch was Abercrombe & Fitch. I was seven. I carried it for years... I carried it to school every day (a different time). When I was 14 or so, my parents brought me a Climber from a trip to Bermuda. Man I loved that knife... carried a Climber for the next 30 years. During that time, my Dad used this Small Tinker for many years, then sent it back to live with me.

This Small Tinker... it's not Alox, and it doesn't disappear in my pocket like the Cadet, but it's got a good set of tools and these solid Celidor handles are still rock solid after all these years. I really like the file on the inside of the Phillips head. Wish they still made that.

So, the Blade o' My Youth is getting some pocket time today. Cut the rubber bands around some bunches of ramps I planted, opened a beer at lunch time. Cleaned my fingernails with the pen blade. (I do like that small blade shape.)

Cool story, BradGad! :cool::cool:
That Tinker looks great for a knife closing in on 50 years old!
I have a Tinker that's only a year old, and it doesn't have the file on the Philips screwdriver. That file is a fine feature; I wonder why (and when) they dropped it? My Tinker also has a small pen blade instead of the clip like yours, and I'm a big fan of that pen blade for whittling.
Anyway, I think you and the Blade o' Your Youth make a dynamic duo, a powerful partnership, a terrific team! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Very cool blue Pioneer you have there Paul!

It's been the silver Alox Pioneer for me the past couple weeks.

Today, my pockets contain 3 SAKs (among other knives): an Electrician, a Recruit, and a celidor Minichamp.

Packing my Recruit today. It is rapidly becoming my favorite SAK to carry.
