What should I get 1st a CRK Sebenza or a Strider SNG?

The Sebenza will probably serve you better for EDC use. If its purely for collectability, its up to your taste.

If you really cant decide after that, flip a coin.
 
I sold off my large Sebenza, I didn't like it very much. I still own and like my small Sebenza. I prefer my PT to the small Sebenza, and vastly prefer my SNG DGG to the large Sebenza. The "gunner grip" SNGs are AWESOME knives. :thumbup:

This is just personal preference. Different knives fit different guys' hands and personalities better.
 
you have to handle both. they're really quite different in terms of ergos and fit and finish. I like the large regular sebenza more than SNG. The SNG doesn't fit my hand, the SMF fits better. But I wouldn't beat down on my sebenza like I would the SNG. The sebenza has a rounded spine (can't scrape the ferro rod like the SNG).

There're just too many factors. Handle both, if you can.
 
Buy em both! And while you're at it pick up an XM-18 3.5" flipper from the Sales board for good measure! :D
 
Have had both, just not at the same time. The SnG was a great knife, but I like to be able to take my knife aprt if need be, and the strider isn't condusize to do that. I also like the crk warranty better. Ended up trading my SnG CC for a NIB Small 21 plus a bit of cash. If I need to beat on a knife I carry my ESEE Izlua.

I did the same thing as 5.56, I own all three as well. I started with the SNG; then came the Sebenza, followed by two XM-18's (flipper and a non flipper).

Funny thing. I started with the Strider because the look appealed to me, but I hardly ever carry it anymore after the others came along.

I've found I like the CRK and Hinderers much better. I'm not crazy about the edge profile of the SNG. IMHO they need to lose that choil on the blade.
 
I just got a reeve Insingo . Amazing blade. My advice. Get the reeve, and email demko and then in 8 months you'll have the most durable folder on the planet.
 
SNG, without a doubt... It's not just the coolness factor, that baby feels like a fixed blade, and the ergos, at least in my hand are perfect... and yes, for the rest of one's life :thumbup:

I had to make this same choice last year. I got both. That being said like everyone else says if your rough on your knives then try the SnG. For me, the Sebenza is tops for EDC and "normal" knife stuff.
 
As noted by my pic above, Sebenza stains easy if you use it to stir your coffee. Not sure how the striders would fare.
 
DPx HEST folder, if you can find one - the best of both worlds! :thumbup:
 
I realize it would be a considerable capital outlay BUT if you buy both you will have little problem selling the one you prefer least.
To find a retailer you can walk into and handle both of your choices.... you may actually find Osama Bin Hidin' quicker.
