Recommendation? What should my next EDC knife be?

Manix 2, Gayle Bradley 2, Domino. With a little more pizzazz. I have 4 Para 2's in different but I tend to carry my the 3 knives mentioned. Also I love the Manix XL. What an awesome knife Drop the Tenacious it doesn't belong on this list. And if you keep your eyes on that place we can't talk about you can find the ZT 0562cf & Zt 0450 and 0452CF. I picked up the 0562 for $ 190 & 0452 for around $200.00. I don't have an 0450 but you can get one of those too. It's smaller than the 0452. I hope this was helpful

940. I carry that more than any other folder. Great knife that can handle chores and also disappears in the pocket.

2 big reasons love is shown for the PM2 by me......Sal and that fantastic compression lock! Every Spidey I own I blame on Sal! First Spyderco I bought was a Pac Salt. It was my first 'real' knife. It wasn't up to snuff out of the box, so I joined the Spydie forum and asked a couple of questions.
Some guy named Sal was one of the first to respond and told me to send it in to his attention.
Had no clue who the hell this guy Sal was, figured he worked in CS.
Had a brand new one in hand in a week with a note from him along with some really cool swag!! I will be a customer for life and will never forget that. Absolute gentleman that has quite a bit of integrity.
Also, that blade is a blazing slicer!!
Can't go wrong with a PM2.
Joe

The 940 is my choice, and I have several other knives from ZT, Spyderco, and Chris Reeve.

These folders are not in the same league. I would choose 940 and PM2 over others. Between these two, it is really a toss of coin. If 940, I would go with the upper limit of budget for a 940-1501. If pm2, a sprint run like with s90v steel.

The PM2 has perhaps the best ergonomics of any folder. Excellent combination of strength, lightweight, blade shape and grind, and a compression lock that s strong and easy to operate with either hand. Almost always comes with excellent fit and finish. Easy to flick open. One of the very best edc s at any price. At its price ,a steal!

I also think the comparable knife in the Cold Steel lineup is the Lawman. Great size, strength, blade steel and grind for edc. Also a great price. Very sturdy. Very.

Para2. The why will come to you as you carry and use one for a while.
I have 9 of them (bring on the Maxamet) and it's my most carried model for EDC. Doesn't mean it will be yours, but I think you should get one, you will not stop hearing/reading/seeing/thinking about it 'til you do so just get it done.

940 is a great EDC folder, mines a -1 which is too expensive, but there a few good choices out there in G10/S30V 940's.
Actually I prefer the 943 but BM just won't come to the party with any upgrades for it :(

Tenacious is not in the same league (much as I like it) and I don't own the others you mentioned.

Also I am highly impressed with my Manix XL, ZT 0562 and BM 950 Rift.

Definitely PM2! Some don't like the blade to handle ratio, but it just looks off in pictures. Put it in your hand and you'll see the truth. One of the sexiest blade shapes, sweet lock, top notch ergos in every grip. Comes in many colors and blade steels, and lots of 3rd party options too. It's even fun to play with!

From your list of choices in the op, the top 3 choices would be good to get.

I was going to get a griptillian with g10 and upgraded steel. Went to a knife store and handled it. Then i picked up a pm2 in my hand in the same store. Loved the choil on it a how light it was. Always liked the looks of it as well. Saved myself some money and bought a pm2. Awesome jimping, made in usa, fast to deploy. No springs that can break. Cuts great. Spyderco does a lot of collaborations but this blade is the true Spyderco, with Sals and Ericks vision all over it that's also tweaked by listening to forum folks. If you buy a 940 now you can always get pm2 later. They are cheaper and it will be easier to pickup next.

IMG_2685.JPG Excellent recommendation with the Rift CP!!
It reminds me of the 940's big brother. It's also an Osbourne design.
Amazing knife that is a beast! I got the Cutlery Shoppe exclusive and am thrilled with it!
It is worth taking a look at this one Snoow!

I really love the compression lock and really disliked liner locks until I picked up a Gayle Bradley 1. They are discontinued but are still easy to find. I originally recommended PM2, but if you were going for a production PM2, I'd say definitely try out a GB1 first. I love the blade shape, the M4 seems abnormally stain resistant, it's crazy smooth, and the fit and finish is insane.

Right on Joe, the 950 and 940 are an excellent pair of folders that cover most needs for sure. I stopped short of getting the 810, it would nicely round off the trio but it just doesn't appeal to me as much.
The larger sized Crooked River does though
Considered one of these OP?

If you have a softspot for lockbacks Another knife I would recommend and you like super smooth action you should consider Italian made Steel Will Gekko 1550 series. It comes in D2, N600 & M390.
I'm not sure if the M390 is out on all the models left. It is exactly what you would expect from an Italian manufacturer. Steel Will is an American company if that makes a difference. As Nick Shabazz says "It's a gem"

You've already started several "which knife" threads, can you please update us as to which knives you've purchased to date? It feels like we keep regurgitating the same info to you.

Thanks in advance,

Yeah I know :) They were just a few that caught my eye.
