Online I BUY from sites with good return policies and certainly no re-stocking fee, even if it has to be a one-time arrangement via discussion and exchange of emails with the management, when set written store policy may state otherwise. And always with a credit card for further backup.

Also those who will tend to let me handle any 30-60 day issues that might arise directly through they, the vendor, not the manufacturer. After that initial period I have no problem shifting warranty/exchange things to the maker. I feel like if there are any hidden flaws they're going to show up within that time period.

However, I will USE the heck out of the less flexible sites to gain info and shop. And USE them to death. But I never make the purchase from one of the intransigents. And damn proud of it. :)

Never had a problem with Blade HQ......forgot to list them above. As a matter of fact, I had an issue one time and returned a knife.....no re stocking fee.

BladeHQ, Knifecenter, and the river site we can't name.

To all the people listing USA Made Blade, may I ask why? I was looking at prices and some of them are pretty insane. $48 for the Kershaw Link? $69 for the same green tanto Blur that BladeHQ has for $50? Didn't find a single item I looked at cheaper than BladeHQ or Knifecenter, and most were a fair bit more expensive.

I use Amazon a lot. Prime members get two-day free shipping and everybody gets easy returns and buyer protection when buying from Amazon merchants. As long as you don't believe things like the "440C Chris Reeve Sebenza" for $29.95 (shipped direct from China) you get good deals and good service.

KershawGuy, TheKnifeConnection, KnifeCenter, KnivesShipFree and USAMadeBlade in no particular order. All these guys are GREAT.

FWIW, I would rather pay a few $s more to get great service, knowledgable staff and a business owner that is only a call away (...and I am not sure that Amazon is really even cheaper in most cases). I have nothing against Amazon or Ebay or bignamesite.blah, but I only buy knives from the guys that support this site. YMMV.
