what size for a chopper knife?

I have a "chopper" hand-forged from an old horseshoe rasp, with an 8" blade and sheephorn handles. It was made by Ken Moore of Indiana and is an excellent chopper!

There is little need for wussy steel in these conditions. A SAK and large blade is all you have time space and weight for.
