I have immediately fallen in love with the Buss-Muk, in particular the Mini, as it will serve my purposes better than the big-guy. Anyway, I want to give Jerry and crew an idea of how well (or not well) received this blade will be. I'm hoping that a resounding yes from all the swine will persuade the Boss to put this baby into production sooner, rather than later. This is not one I want to wait the traditional "two weeks" for. Let's also give the shop an idea of what grip and finish options we want. Let the stampede begin!!!!

For those of you hiding under a rock these are the blades in question:

And Boss, how 'bout throwing a set of hand contoured slabs on this like the Cultie. Sort of like mini-mags for a little extra grip. Nothing like a good palm swell (NO PUN INTENDED). While we're at it carve some raptor scales on 'em like SFNO mags and we'll be all set. Please send proto to me for proper inspection. Photo courtesy of resinguy.

I'd like a MiniMuk as is!! And a BussMuk in .320"!!

DC w/ Black G-10 pair and a Satin w/ Green Linen pair!!

Even with all of us into these ideas, this style knife will bring in many knife enthusiasts that have been waiting for just such a knife in INFI that have never considered Busse knives to date. I think no matter what we say, the likelyhood of a much larger following would ensue. The WSS board has been watching this knife with a lot of interest.

I am in for a couple. I would prefer the larger one in 1/8" though!

Buss-Muk 3/16" thick! Grips, I would like to see snake-skin, the kind that was offered with the Game warden LE. What a great combination that would be!

You make ...I buy!

I'd buy one (or 2,3,4....):D:D:D.

My 2 cents: Keep 'em thin, satin/DC, and please, please offer orange G10.

Obviously I'm all over the MINI. If produced both 'Muks may go down in Busse history with the likes of the SFNO, SHBM, BBSHSH, ABA, etc, etc. It just looks so practical to me. This is the first time that I've felt the need to have a Busse model produced immediately for sale. I just love it.

Combos I'd like to see:

Satin/GL
DC/GL
Satin/Snake
Satin/Tigerhide (I'm sure there will be an LE anyway)
Satin/Pumpkin or OJ G-10 for the hunters out there (don't want to lose this one)

Hell I don't really care as long as it's produced.

I'd like to know specs on the larger Proto (BussMuk).

I'd also like to know if these two are going to replace the ASH-1 as a regular offering.

I'm down for both in some version of micarta.

I'd get at least one of each. If the large one comes in 1/8 I would be forced to buy several :D

DC or satin with green linen would be prefect, snakeskin would be pretty awesome too :)

Just out of curiosity I see that some of you chubby-chasers are looking for a Fatty Mega-'Muk. I've been back and forth over the whole fatty thing in my mind, but this is one blade where I really don't see the use in having a super-heavyweight version. For those of you with a girth fetish, why apply it to the 'Muks? For me any 'Muk over .20" isn't worth it. I gots me some choppers for slammin' the heavy wood. I'll take my girly-'muk slim and trim.

Booyakasha!

BTW how sweet of a kitchen blade is this thing gonna be?

If the Buss-'Muk is gonna be around .187" or thinner I'm all over that for slicin' and dicin'!

Damn now I need both.

I'd prefer 'em thinner for slicing, but, heck, just BRING IT!! These are sweet!

I've added a little more to the original post regarding handle designs. Who's in for mini-mags like the Cultie has? The 'Muks are really coming together now.

Now where's that bottle of JWB (Johnnie Walker Bribe) I've been saving for a time like this?;)

I'm afraid I will be passing on this model. I read a little about the history of this knife style and can understand why people would want it but for me I would choose a Finnish style Puukko to use. But hey thats just me. I'm sure both sizes of Muk will be good users and great knives for those that go for them.
