I really want DWRW's design changes for this!

I would probably buy it either way though. And if I had to choose just one of the two, it would definitely be the Mini. I WOULD like to see some different handles, though. Maybe someone who is proficient at photoshop can show us what the mini might look like with the BATAC-shaped handles (or something else...CALLING DWRW) Options for micarta or g-10 would be nice, but I'll be damned if the grips on it now don't look fantastic.

Also, I say Satin or DC.

:thumbup::D

Thanks for the support IGM, but I am very convinced this (AD) handle design is very well suited for this knife. - Much more so than the BATAC handle.

Also, the BATAC handle is a LOT larger than the AD's handle. This MUK design is not a large knife. But, I wear XL gloves and still find the AD's handle to be a great fit for 3" - 4.5" blades or so - depending on blade.

I actually like my AD and the AD's handle a lot. But,.....
It would very likely be my favorite 3.0" - 4.0" fixed blade knife if it just did not have a Talon Hole or over-sized choil. :(
Unfortunately, I can't modify the Talon Hole and over-sized choils once they are there. I can't bring the blade edge closer once the Talon Hole and over-sized choil is there. :( So, this is obviously an issue for me. :(

Have you handled an AD? Trust me, this is the right handle for this knife. It just needs my tweaks. ;)

Maybe you just need a different color micarta or G10 ? ;)

Actually, the more I look at the Mmini-Muk, the more I like it with that EXACT grip. However, I STILL would like to see Jerry implement your changes. Oherwise, I want at least one of these and have already started saving my lunch money. By the time this thing comes out I should have enough...assuming wifey and I don't hafta do 4-5 cycles of IVF. Man, I hope that's not the case.

there is a small possibility that i will consider a handle-less mini muk with a competition-grade finish :D (without the convex edge though).

What I will need to know, if & when an INFI Nessmuk becomes available, is what it will take to get one. Do I need a tutorial in buying Busse? Certainly this thread is less than encouraging, being full of very tight, in-group chatter.

There could be some interest in this style of knife on the Wilderness & Survival Skills forum, but except for members active both there and here, I doubt many will pay the price in dollars or int the time necessary to figure out the system.

I want one in satin and the black/tan scales that were on the Sage FFBM, or the blue/blacks on the CopWarden!!! I was reading the earlier posts and for my mitts I REALLY need to have the handle of the Meaners and not the Active Duty. Not enough the really tuck into my palm. Plus that extra tang helps in retention.

I'm diggin' the mini ... i'll take one of those in satin with tigerhide or snakeskin micarta.. the THICKER the better !!!

All you have to do is place an order if/when they are offered at www.bussecombat.com Go to the "ordering" section and click on the link, then click "browse" and then "entire catalog" and the available knives will show up. Other ways to order are listed on the "ordering" page.
It will take a while before they start making them and shipping them out, but you won't have to pay before they are ready to ship.

if for any reason you are having difficulty ordering or have any other questions, send me a pm/email.

if they are offered via ganza, ill help you out there too.

Mori,

I'm a bit leary of the ganzas as well. Seems to me that you REALLY hafta be on the ball to get in on those, and while I watched the wackiness unfold before CupidGanza, I'd be VERY upset with myself if I missed my ONLY chance to get one of these at the original price. The exchange, while being a great place to buy aftermarket Busse, is VERY expensive.

450$ for an NOe that cost 227$ when it came out? Wow...

I'd like the Mini.

btw, Mike, that pic up top is mine, not Guyon's. No worries. ;)

Sorry bout that resin. I corrected it to give you proper credit. I guess since I see a post by Guyon ever ten to fifteen seconds I had his name stuck in my head.:D;)

Esav, no one really knows yet how they'll be offered. However, because they're being previewed in this fashion, I suspect/hope they'll be a regular offering. If true, this means they'll be available through www.bussecombat.com just as the ASH-1 is being offered now. The site is actually down for some reason today. There's a thread here about it. Anyway, in such a case, it's simply a matter of going to the site, choosing options, and placing an order.

The other three main outlets, Busse Company Store (www.bussecompanystore.com), Extravaganzaaaas, and knife shows, are harder to predict and more of a challenge to score knives. I keep asking if these knives will be regular offerings, but no answers so far.

If you want to dig up her rotting corpse, then yes, she'll be there.:p

With apologies to Ms. Carter, I'm going to have to pass.

Ya know... if you go back and read Jerry's original post about designing a bushcraft / nessmuk...
he stated that Skunk gets a lot of requests for such a blade.

I'm thinking this may be the next Company Store exclusive...
But who knows... the ASH-1s are due to come down off the site soon.
