Ok so I'm a little confused and a little mad. I recently sold a tglb on here to a forum member. Shipped the item 2 Day priority mail tracking number, the whOle shebang. I check my email and paypal says so and so is filing a claim. This can't be real I'm thinking to my self. So u check the tracking number and the package was rejected by someone atet the address. Ok.... interesting. I contacted well attempted to contact him and no response. Kinda rude if you ask me. What do I do? I have good recent feedback, why would someone pull a stunt like that? I'm gonna give them a chance to reply if not I'm gonna air them out.

I would give a chance for a response.

I had an incident once where a disgruntled significant other refused a package that I sent as she was in the process of removing her things from the apartment. Buyer had no idea that the package was refused as he was at work at the time. Once he was aware of what had happened he made it right and package was sent again with no problem.

Hopefully your situation is just a misunderstanding and it gets worked out quickly.

Garth

Good luck with that bro. Hope you can get it resolved without too much hassle. Have you informed PayPal that your package was rejected?

usmc0621, this thread would most likely be served better in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly feedback forum (GB&U), so I'm going to move it. I'll leave a redirect link in the Busse forum so you can find the thread quickly in either forum. Note that the thread redirect will only drop down the page(s) on the Busse forum so if you are looking for it from Busse and don't see it on the main Busse forum page, try page 2.

I've no idea why a package would be refused...except maybe a parent answered the door and fit hit the shan? ;)
Sorry you've got this issue, but on the brighter side, at least the knife IS heading back to you.
Hope it all works out, mate.

Maybe, just maybe he over spent his funds and needed the money back for bills or something. That is the ONLY LOGICAL REASON ANYONE WOULD REFUSE A BUSSE!!!!!

1. When you sell something, make sure you follow the Paypal stipulations to the letter. If it is over a certain dollar amount, you NEED to use signature confirmation.
2. Only ship to verified paypal addresses, no excuses (unless it is someone you fully trust and have dealt with in the past). Then again, you do at your own risk.
3. Shipping overseas can be a crap shoot, again unless it is someone with a record of successful purchases and is a vetted member of the community with a history of positive interaction and contributes time and energy here. Some folks are only here to see what they can get out of others and their stay is very short lived.

Who was your transaction with?

Well since he hasn't answered my pm it makes me wonder u know. I'm new on here and new to shipping stuff so it sux to b left in the dark

Hmmmmm if he refused your package isn't it being held at the local PO or going back to you as returned to sender???!

It is very rude & unprofessional (IMO). not to communicate prior to filing a Paypal dispute, regarding transactions between 2 parties, here on BF. There was a recent thread regarding another member (some guy from the Ukraine), who filed a Paypal dispute without contacting the seller beforehand & try to resolve the issue personally. In the end, he appeared to be in the wrong- he didn't appear to tell the truth & had buyer's remorse.

Hopefully there is a simple explanation (like Jaxx stated) & you will have your knife back minus the shipping charges. With some of the ugly things that you read here in the GBU, it could always be a lot worse.

Best of luck, USMC, welcome to BF & please let us know when you receive your knife back.

Semper Fi!

I'm sorry to read a loser out there is acting like this and putting the OP through the ringer, but unfortunately it happens from time to time. Don't let it get the best of you! Don't waste your time worrying about rudeness or airing out personal beefs. Treat the situation like a recorded/administered process because that's what it is. There is nothing you can do except state the facts during the PP dispute. Which you should. Don't get emotional because you "feel" ripped off.

A buyer can't simply reject a package and do nothing. If they don't want it, they are obligated to return it to you. That's is a PP policy. However, the seller is obligated to say that. That's also PP's policy and that is how they will administer the situation. As a matter of fact, PP requires both parties to communicate during a dispute. Keep it simple and state the fact that "The buyer rejected the package but isn't communicating. I don't know what the problem is. If I did I would try to rectify the situation. I tried to tell them to send it back, but again they aren't communicating." You're golden if you approach it like that because PP will immediately require the buyer to state what is going on and they will record it. Depending on what they say will determine on what happens from there...

Ok well the buyer got in contact with me. Apparently the knife was not in the package and the package was empty. Not his fault or mine. Someone decided to steal it because they don't fall out from a heavily taped package. I'm beyond mad now. Big inconvinience to the buser and to me who is now out a 500 dollar blade. Other than returning the money to the buyer, I have no idea what to do

Lately there have been a lot of reports of knives mysteriously disappearing from their packages. Actually there has too many incidents to indicate this to be another coincidence. I think he is trying to scam you. Please post his username and info.

What's his feedback? Did he reject at the door (not take possession?) or did he drive it to the PO for return after receipt?

If he had possession I'd regard it as fraud. PP will side with him and you lose the $$ but morally you should out him here.

I am so sorry you are going through this ordeal...

I have seen this BS pulled by one other before. I would also like to know who it went too. If you sent everything per paypal rules I'm not sure how the buyer would even know there was nothing in the box especially since it was refused. Unless, they accepted it first and then returned it to Post office. If it was weighed and sent at post office originally of course it was in there or there would be no weight associated.

Please post tracking # and buyer id.

I would be very skeptical at this point.

Something isn't right! As stated above the local post office ALWAYS weighs the package before its final destination. This scumbag has figured out a way to remove the goods and then bring it to the post office for refusal. All the post office needs to see is that the package is sealed. Please post the members info so no one else has to deal with him. The sad part is PayPal will take his side, all they care about is the package was delivered. Unless you purchased USPS shipping insurance you probably got burned by the jerk.

Yeah man, I'm sorry to say it but you're getting scammed by this guy. Post his name, address, and all related info you have on him.
