What to do with subpar knives

atleast even if they arent great examples of modern art , you can still use them as knives.

Often now I just walk away from it and start again after I f up
My reason being you have to know when to quit and cut your losses

So I'm new to making knives and I am trying to get better at grinding bevels. During this process I am producing fully functional blades but they all have minor flaws that make me unwilling to sell them to the public. What do I do with these blades until I start turning out blades I am happy with? Give them away? Throw them in a drawer and forget about them?

Thanks Aaron

I haven't read all the posts here, but I was thinking about this the other day. I haven't started making knives yet, but when I move into my house in a couple months and begin the process of messing up n knives i've decided I will give them to the local soup kitchens around my city.

For me knife is a tool. If it fullfils its purpose it has its place in the world, with blemishes or not. If it makes someone happy, give it away.

I do understand it's different for you guys that live or plan living of knife making.
