What To Do With This Bar?

Thanks to everybody who chimed in with support, and especially thanks to Stacey and Stan.

Squid, the knife looks great. Very nice.

As far as using neetsfoot oil. My experience with it on leather is that it will darken it immediately, not jus eventually with exposure to sun. Also, it makes leather soft, which you may not want in a sheath. Again, my experience is boots and baseball gloves, so take it for what it's worth.

Thanks, medic. The sheath seems a little softer with the neetsfoot oil. If I put more on there, it will probably get too soft and not retain the knife as well.

Hey, you all, (yous, y'all, you lot). You may remember that Stacey sent me two blanks. I am working on the second one now. It is CPM154, and looks about 5/32" thick. My question is, what is a good bevel angle for a Scandi-ground bevel? I am guessing 30 to 32 deg. inclusive?

Side-note: I am giving it a false edge along the spine. I wanted to give it a rhomboidal cross-section, but I don't think the bar stock is thick enough for that. However, I still think it looks awesome.

Added note: I have some Scandi knives that I could use for comparison, but I wanted to get the opinions of you pro knife makers. Different steels might need different bevel angles? The Scandi's I have are made of carbon steel.
