What tool/vic did you carry today?

Packed the Explorer to work today. this little Explorer has been a great 19 dollar investment:thumbup:

The Explorer is my second choice of late after the Champ Plus for carry out of the house. I added plus scales on mine. It has a great set of tools for its size. And the price can't be beat. I use it even more often, even if I don't carry it. I have about 10 knives on my end table by my recliner, and as I am home most of the time, I just grab one off the tray when I need it. More times than not I grab the Explorer. Only when I go out do I post in the "what you carry today" threads. Might not be the one I use the most.

swiss champ in black scales on my left hip everyday.
Wenger Ranger 61 w/clip in my right front pocket
and my beloved yellow Case mini trapper w/cv blades
also in right pocket.I could'nt be happier!

Orange G-10 Swisschamp. This is an older Swisschamp that I refurbished, repairing a few tools and making the custom "Plus" scales.

Buzzbait- Nice orange scales. Nice job. You could not loose that even in the dark.

Since I am going all SAK, I carried my silver Cadet today. But I had to take a license plate off my power chair lift, so I grabed my Explorer(for the phillips screw driver) and Deluxe Tinker(for its pliers). Worked great. Plate is now on the back of the Yukon and ready for the trailer tomorrow. Going camping in our popup Wed.

Today I carry my Victorinox Cadet. I will visit a nearby city and this little knife doesn't attract attention and I still have a useful tool with me.

Just picked up a new Leatherman Wave today. First time Ive carried a multitool, carried all day and honestly used in 20 times in just one day. I love the saw blade, scary sharp, did a great job cutting up some PVC. Tool still needs to be broekn in a good bit but I love it. I kicked myself the whole way home from the job site for taking so long to pick one up, I couldnt be any happier with it.

I was going through an old bug-out-bag yesterday and found an old black Leatherman Mini that I forgot I had. So I put a fresh edge on the blade, made sure the cap lifter still worked :D, and stuck it in my pocket. After using Juice, Waves and Skeletools for a while, this thing has a very refreshing retro feel to it.

I recently bought a Victorinox belt hanger and today I used it to carry my Huntsman. The belt hanger looks and feels very solid. I have never used a belt hanger, but I like this one.

Today it was the SwissChamp I got yesterday. It had silver tech scales, I say had because after opening the envelope it was mailed in I promptly dropped it on my slate floor and smashed the corkscrew side scale:eek:. It now has a fresh pair of cobalt blue scales.
Cheers,
Rob

My VIC trekker and a modified (two blades/seatbelt cutter) SOG powerlock. These, coupled with a few various sized fixed blades are my de rigueur set up for any situation.

For the last few days I have been carrying only a Micra. This is sort of something I do to periodically remind myself that whatever I omit from my daily pocketload turns out to be exactly what I need. Within hours of leaving home first time out with nothing but my mini Leatherman on hand, there were some metal rods needing bent and, of course, no pliers. Still, he persists

Here's the strange thing; BL (Before Leatherman) I got by for decades with nothing more than a Boy Scout knife or SAK without experiencing this sort of thing. Once I got a Leatherman, it wasn't needed every day, but whenever I went forth without, almost always something came up where it could come in handy. The above anecdote is typical, and usually happening sooner than later.

Now, I'm not superstitious, so there must be a plausible explanation (possibly in psychology) for this and other paranormal phenomena I have been experiencing since going multitool. But it seems so real!:rolleyes::o.

Today I carry my Victorinox Nomad. Normally I would carry a smaller SAK, like Climber, with me, but the Nomad fits well into the cargo pocket of my short pants. It sits there together with my new flashlight.

Just an Ambassador today.

Unfortunately I'm stuck at home with a stinking cold so I really don't need more.

My VIC Trekker has been seeing a lot of use. Older version where I removed the serrations, much nicer this way!
