Brother or sister?

We're the knuts. We carry different knives all the time. We're likely to have more knives than we'll even use. What about other family members? What do they carry?

The wife keeps a Peanut and Wenger on her person.

What about yours?

My wife carries an SAK classic.
My daughter carries an SAK small Tinker.
My son carries a Salt I that I gave him. (He lives in Hawaii.)

My wife doesn't carry a knife but she keeps a SAK Classic in the console of her car. I bought her that knife for Christmas 2006 at her request. It was shopping for that knife that got me started collecting again after a 20+ year break.

So I have her to blame for all these knives I've got laying around. :D

My wife has a Mint Green SAK Tomo on her keys and a Leatherman Micro in her car. She has zero interest in knives.

father: spyderco Bob Lum peasant knife
uncle:buck 309
Brother: schrade u.s.a. old timer34ot
Son:spyderco para military, GEC 2 blade trapper, Chris Reevs large sebenza damascus with zebra wood
Daughter:SAK climber
Wife: SAK clasic on key ring & SAK recruit
Forgot new son-in-law:paramilitary, schrade USA old timer 34ot
last but not least my grandson of 1yr old. nothing yet but he has a hell of a nice traditional collection waiting for him:D

Conchita has a Rough Rider camp knife and a Case seahorse whittler in persimmon bone rattling around in the bottom of her purse. I don't know that it ever occurs to her to use one, or that she could even find them if it should.

My son carries mostly modern folders. He has some Moras and Opinels and an Anza I gave him.

Grandson has an Opinel 6 , SAK Recruit, and a Marttiini Little Classic. Step kids have Opinels and modern folders, save for one daughter who carries a RR Improved Muskrat. One year, all the kids got Micras. Dunno how many of those still get carried. There are a lot of Opinels floating around, too, from the year I bought a box of 8s for kids, inlaws, and what have you.

I just recently bought my wife a Victorinox SAK 580 and she loves it. My oldest daughter carries a Case 6292 Texas Jack I gave her. My youngest daughter has always been a lot like her dad. Outdoors enthusiast likes guns, knives. A lot like Gretchen Wilson's Redneck Woman. She carries a Buck 112 and an Esee Izula as a boot knife. Her husband and kids are really nice to her.:D My two sons like me have a bunch of knives so who knows what they have with them.

Better half; Victorinox classic on keys, Opinel number 8 stainless with hearts all over it in purse. Mora sheath knife in daypack. Someties the purse Opinel gets replaced with an Italian Zuava I got from jack. Karen thought it was too pretty to be in my jeans pocket.

Number one son; SAK's. John travels a lot for his company, and SAK's are available all over Europe and the rest of the world. When home, he is still a SAK carrier.

Daughter; Victorinox classic in a few different colors.

Number two son; Old Camillus made Buck stockman he commandeered from a certain old man. Also a Case peanut in yellow and CV. A stag Boker small lock blade. A few SAK's, and a certain old boy scout knife an old man once had while a scout. Only kid out of three that took to traditional pocket knives.

Nephew; Any knife he can talk me out of that I've carried. To date, a Queen canoe, a GEC 15, an Eye Brand wood handle sodbuster, and an Opinel number 8 with a sanded and stained linseed oiled handle.

Grandson; my old knives that he's commandeered and won't let me carry anymore. He's got my first Buck 301, my dad's old peanut, granddad's old Sheffield sailors knife, and my Vietnam issue Camillus MK2. He himself carries a SAK. It seems to run in the family.

Granddaughter number one; Vic classic's in an array of colors. And Opinel number 7 slim in purse,

Granddaughter number two; Aspiring to take my Remington peanut and classic. Not quite old enough, and California is hinnky with knives and kids, so we have to keep an eye on her.

Dad; Never saw him carry anything else but his old Case peanut, except in his later years when arthritis got bad, he carried a Christy knife. Carried that Case peanut for a lost 40 years.

Here's what Ive given to the family. They carry them pretty constantly.

Dad - Tidioute 15 single sheepsfoot. Gave it to him last Christmas. Thinking of getting him a 72 this Christmas.
Brother in Law - Custom Stockman - I can't remember the maker. I didn't give him this. A doctor friend of his gave it to him over 10 years ago. It's a great knife. He is starting to forge his own and Im looking forward to his work.
Sister - Cadet
Sister - Pioneer & a modern fixed blade.
Mom - Cadet
Wife - Vic Classic and Pioneer
Daughter - lol, I carry her Cadet
Brother in Law - Case Medium Stockman & modern small fixed blade

My Grandad carried a Buck 307, i have never seen my Dad with anything but a Buck 102. He is on his second or third one.

We're a Victorinox family. My wife carries a Cadet, and our three kids carry Compacts.

Though she does not really carry it, my wife prefers using my Buck 110. It's a custom w/ black smooth horn and s30v steel.

My wife carries a green Vic Classic on her keys, keeps a blue Leatherman Squirt PS4 in the car and a Kershaw Cryo II in her purse. All supplied by me but think she really only uses the Vic though. My father in law usually carries a Kershaw Leek or Vic Pioneer, also gifts from my wife and I. We did get him a beautiful single 77 Barlow saw cut sheep foot to give as a Christmas gift.

My wife has no interest in knives, but keeps a Vic classic on her keys. Ditto for my mom. My dad doesn't carry anything but my grandad carried a stockman that I restored recently for my dad. That knife stays on my dads desk, he says it reminds him of his dad every time he sees it:)
Out of my siblings ended up a fellow knife Knut but carries modern folders only, his favorites are Emerson and Benchmade and he like CRKs as well so he has pretty good taste. I tried unsuccessfully several times to get him to add a traditional to his rotation...
My other siblings carry a knife on their keys (a ladybug and yet another classic) but they don't care one way or another about them.

My wife has had this on her keychain for a couple years now. Vic Classics are just "right" for keychains!

None of my family, friends or those close... are interested in knives at all

So, I carry the burden for them all :D:D I've got a few too...
