What traditional does your spouse, significant other, mom, dad, etc carry?

My wife says, "get out your knife and cut this for me" - so she carries me and whatever knife I have in my pocket at the time! OH

Boy, does that sound familiar! My son has a small collection, but since he's 11 he only really carries a knife when we hit the countryside for the weekend. My daughter, 13, has a violet SAK Classic. My dad has an alox Classic on his keychain. It's funny, when I was growing up he never carried a knife. But in retirement he caught the Classic bug and now, if/when he loses one, he's sure to let me know ASAP (his way of a gift hint for Father's Day, his birthday or Christmas).

My Wife doesn't carry a traditional knife; she fell in love with a stainless steel Cricket.

My family is pretty much (pocket)knifeless. My wife carried a Victorinox signature in het purse for a while but she never used it and put it in my knife display after a while.

But I've got good hopes for my 1,5 year old daughter. She got her first knife for her first birthday and often points to my knife display saying "dad, knife" [emoji4]

This is her first knife, farmer (mine) for size.

My wife doesn't carry a knife (to my knowledge), but she has a couple near at hand of the back of the bench for our kitchen table: a purple Vic Classic and the little Buck toothpick shown below:

I have a brother-in-law who gets new knives often for birthday, Christmas, etc. but they're always modern folders.

My wife usually carries a purple Spyderco Delica but occasionally she has a little Buck 55 I gave here while we were dating.

She finds most all slip joints too tough to open so prefers lock backs.

I have and often carry the same little stockman. I love that little fella, the spey and pen combo really compliment each other.

Wife carries a SAK
Daughter carries a Camper SAK and a SOG Twitch II.
Dad carries a Sears Stockman or an 8OT.

The wife has two, both fixed blades. I made her a folder years back but she lost it. Depends on what she's doing. Daily EDC is one of my Gordos, damascus with mammoth tooth. Here horseback in its Gordo sheath:

Or here running the squeeze chute while retagging some cows.

I don't actually have a pic of her Gordo but here is another. Her's has red tooth instead of the blue. She prefers this as her edc because of its small size and compactness. You just forget you're wearing it till ya need it. Plus she can run into town go to the bank and not scare all the civilians.

Here is her other knife. This is her preference when branding and processing calves. This one is called a Tapadero with mammoth ivory handle. Here its being used as a prop for the holster pic but gives ya a good idea of the Beltless sheath she designed. She has one of these for both of her knives as most of the time she doesn't wear a belt. The tabs snap around the belt loops on your jeans. This was a tough design to get right and I went through about 8 prototypes before we were really happy with it.

An early prototype beltless sheath but it shows ya how it works:

She just cowboys along with the rest of the crew, here branding one of our calves.

I gave my wife a victorinox mini champ that she carries on her Keychain. I gave my dad a Victorinox farmer and solo, I think he usually keeps the solo with him.

My wife carries a red Vic Classic on her key chain BUT has been known to shoot daggers with her eyes.

My dad carried a box knife before he retired.
Not sure what he carried after. A small two blade Schrade of some sort, Mighty Mite, maybe?
