What traditional does your spouse, significant other, mom, dad, etc carry?

I have and often carry the same little stockman. I love that little fella, the spey and pen combo really compliment each other.

Jim,
I think she will be very happy with it once I get it away from her long enough to clean it up and oil it. She was carrying a little frost peanut but thought " a stockman has a little more utility pop" I just love that my 15 year old daughter is more interested in knives then Boys at this point.

She's gonna love it! It is very cool that she likes pocket knive and see's the value of them. My own daughter never has but i love her anyway. 😉

I've carried for a while. My wife always needed to borrow my knife for 1 reason or another, so I eventually got her to a knife show, and let her wander through the entire room and see 1000's of knives, and handle 100's of them until she decided what she liked in her hand, and what she liked with her eyes. Here is what she settled on, and it's in her purse every day.

Case lockback with abalone handles.

Grandfather-large Buck stockman, black saw cut Delrin, don't recall model no. , or a case fishing knife when appropriate. He was a carpenter too, so he had a few marking knives
Wife-sadly she stole a Kershaw xxxxxxx from me and it's all she uses. One hand fast opening and closing, likes the recurve. (I don't, pain to sharpen) ;) Oh yeah, ZERO interest in knives or collecting. Hatas gonna hate. :D
Mom-scissors for everything.
Son-2, so... my wife thinks he's tooyuongto use knives. It'll be a few years, but I imagine he'll "borrow" a few of mine
Thanks,Neal70

My wife carries a red Vic Classic on her key chain BUT has been known to shoot daggers with her eyes.

10-4 on the daggers. I think it's part of the species.

As some of the other members mentioned, my wife and kids use me for their EDC. They all know Grandpa always has a pocket knife. I've tried gifting small SAK's but they just seem to dussapear into the "I know it's around here somewhere" void. I think many of the younger generation would only carry a pocket knife if it were built into their smart phone case somehow.

Funny to watch one of them try to hack and cut their way into one of those heavy duty plastic heat sealed clam shell packagings using a pair of cheap Walmart scissors till they finally ask me to open it. The grandkids know just to automatically bring a new toy to me so I can open it for them. I do enjoy it though when the 4 year old tells his Mama to just have Grandpa open it cause she's taking too long. :)

My wife carries an alox sak, actually a soldier, till i bought her a solo, then she carried a minichamp on her keys. Tried a peanut, but cut herself in the pen blade.

Joe58-With sadness I tell you... they now have phone cases with knives in them, sorta like a Vic SAK card. Don't remember where I saw them, mighta been a couple different outfits:thumbdn:. And I must agree with the daggers and the "I carry you" remark (sexist!) . :D I also think if my wife's current knife broke, about all she would accept would be an auto, and I'm sure I could find a traditional. ;)
Thanks, Neal

My wife carries a Boker Evergreen Series Winzermesser, olive wood and 440C, great knife. When she carries a fixed blade, she has a Spyderco Mule in S110V and beautiful Camatillo(Mexican Kingwood) wood scales, leather sheath. She also has a very nice custom Trevor Burger she absolutely loves.

About the only interest my wife ever shows in knives is when I get a new one, she wonders if she could get a switchblade!
(I tell her that I think they're illegal.)
