What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Super looking knives Jon. I don’t remember seeing that little swayback before, is that a new one for you? Or did I just forget? Hopefully the Chiefs will get back on track today. 👍
I think it picked it up around March/April timeframe. I know I had by the time my daughter’s birthday rolled around late April. Back in 2017 when case released the peach bone I picked up the mini trapper. After a few years I finally bought the sway back, which I should have gotten in the first place. My daughter’s name is Georgia, hence the want for a peach bone knife and they were made the same year she was born.

Perfect! 😎👍 Love the stories behind knives, thanks for sharing it. 😊

It's the Ebony Scout Trapper today. A nephew is coming to collect the wood from the two trees I had cut down a few days ago and a stout knife might come in handy although I don't plan on doing a thing. He and his son will do the loading while I stand by an watch.

One of the few benefits of being an old dude, Ed. We get to watch.

AGR pen knife went with me on a Walmart run this morning.

...
That JohnDF JohnDF is a generous gentleman, giving gifts galore! (sorry, 5K Qs 5K Qs had rubbed off on me with his timely tongue twisers!)😀
...
Carrying a super pair of my favorites, gifted by two super friends JohnDF JohnDF & @Jack Black. !

Thanks for the kind words, Dennis, and I enjoyed your all-star alliteration! 🤓
Super friends and knives for sure!:thumbsup::cool:

Toting a thrifty 1930s Cattle Knife and a late 1940s BSA Cub, both from Imperial. :)

I certainly admire the numerous pristine vintage Imperials and Hammer Brands you post, JJ!:thumbsup::cool:

I had a Thrifty Marbles split back whittler and Jack with me today.
...
Excellent fall pairing, Todd; the Marbles whittler is a handsome piece!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
What's the main blade on the Marbles?

This pair yesterday and again today. Both have rosewood covers, although quite different in color and grain. The Case 47 is called a carpenters whittler I think, must be because of the coping blade.

Grand pair, Greg!:cool::thumbsup: And I learned something new again. I originally thought the case '47 pattern was just a stockman, but a few months ago, folks were showing off a 2-blade opposite ends version, and now you've posted a whittler version (complete with a "WH" on the tang stamp)!

Capable companions Gary :)
Thanks, Jack; I wish they felt the same way about me! o_O🤓

It always starts with a little rule bent here, a loosey goosey interpretation there. Before you know it, you’re pretending it’s Tuesday so you can have Taco Tuesday on Friday.

The rough black SBJr just might be worth a little regulatory variance, though.
You're so right, Jeff! ;) Since I started my rotation schedule with its fluid and questionable categories, my entire moral fiber has been rapidly unraveling, warp and woof (or weft)!o_O:eek:

Spectacular pair of Case knives you got dealt, GT. 🤠
Thanks, John, you old silver-tongued devil. 🤓

Starting my day with these two... ;)
I'm glad you dare to share that fair pair, so rare and beyond compare!:cool::thumbsup:;)

Fancy Friday:

I'll bet you keep those two in a jewelry box, Rachel!:cool::cool:

Super knives Gary, the SBJ and that Chestnut mini are captivatingly cosy Case carries. 😉👍
I appreciate your thoughtful support, Todd!🤓

Funny, I was looking around to trade or recover my glitter gold. Just didn’t like the gold. My wife figured out my plans for the knife and said, “No way you’re recovering that one, it makes me think of my dads old Glastron boat we called Sparkle Plenty.” So now the knife has a name and it’s really growing on me. 😊
Cool to hear the story behind that knife's name!:thumbsup::cool:

Covering both Fancy and Black Friday with my Amboyna burl TEW barlow, and a “just arrived yesterday” Boker. View attachment 1651409
Congrats on the raven Böker, and I'm honored that I witnessed the Taylor Eye Witness barlow!:thumbsup::cool:

Fancy bottle cap and fancy Böker!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Whittler and a Barlow. The OD Canvas Micarta really suits this new Barlow, I think it's my favorite of the three covers.

Congrats on the new Barlow, Steve!:cool::thumbsup:
