What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Yes, it's a 317 series Peterson. I love this pattern so much, I have 4 of them. Two smooth like you see, and two sand blast. Great smoking pipe.

My dad used to smoke a pipe near identical to the one pictured Carl, he had several of them over the years :)

Not wildly excited about the Super Bowl but it's a good reason to get together with family. Here's my Super Bowl day carry (the bear is a bottle opener that's on my keychain)...

That's pretty sweet Jason. I've never seen one in the flesh; it's not the pattern any of my relatives carried, so I just didn't get a chance to see one. Thanks for posting those fotos.

Bakerg2g - That Schrade will haunt my dreams.
The jigging, rivets and shield just mesh perfectly and the thick clip master with long pull reminds me of the master blade on my Case XX Heavy Jack..
That's a good lookin' knife.

What a looker! I'll be that worn stag feels great to the hand.

That´s a great pic, Sarah!
Thanks! The knife is pale, the snow is a whiter shade of pale. :-)

Wow!
Is that micarta?
Nope.... ;)

A lady like that would have Ivory. That's my guess.
Yes, it's ivory. With a smile for the compliment....

And a great-looking knife! Is that new? :)
I was fortunate to pick it up on the exchange a couple weeks ago, and posted pictures in the Sunday Picture Show at that time, and here and there since then....
Sundown, yesterday:

Its covers are entirely smooth, appearing creamy white in most lighting-- the striations are a visual treat only at certain angles/light.

It's a stand-out amongst the others, that's for sure, almost seeming to glow in comparison.

I never thought I'd own something this fine, and am grateful to AKC and his generous sale for making it possible.

Thanks for the kind words.

The striations are what threw me off, I guess. Beautiful!

Anyhoo, mine today:
