What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm finding it to be a real challenge to stay caught up with this thread for the past several months, at least. So I did a little "research" to see if there's a reason for my constant "falling behind". I counted all the posts in this thread from the first one posted on December 1 to the last one posted on December 22. Then I did the same thing for the same range of dates in 2018. Here are the results:
2021: 1785 posts in 22 days, for an average of 81.1 posts/day (or just over 4 new pages per day)
2018: 1632 posts in 22 days, for an average of 74.2 posts/day (or just under 4 new pages per day)
I was shocked, to say the least! 😲 o_O  I'd have sworn this thread has significantly more "traffic" recently than it used to have, but a difference of 7 extra posts per day seems insignificant to me. I have to conclude that I'm getting very inefficient as I get deep into my golden years! 🤓

Anyway, here are more of the knives I'm carrying this week.

Thanks Todd. It’s actually a Navy Chief “Challenge Coin” with the Grinch holding a coffee mug that has a USN Chief anchor on it. They really know how to do them up. This picture has the reverse side. Chiefs are known to keep our coffee cups properly “seasoned”. The old school ones anyway.
That is even more awesome, Jon, and I absolutely love the back.

When I left my last sub the inside of my cup (pictured) was "seasoned" to the point where the inside was as black as the coffee it held. Then I brought it home and it was promptly ruined.

Today's carry is courtesy of John, thank you for this.

Last time my mom came in to town she washed one of mine. I couldn’t understand why she would do that considering my dad is a retired chief. My daughter thinks it’s gross, but I’m just saying the last time I even got a little sick was in 2016.

Very nice mug! My dad has a bunch of nice mil-art mugs like yours. None of my ships/units have had enough pride to do an order. I resorted to making my own (pictured) a few years ago. It is well seasoned.

SWEET picture, Jack. ;)
Thanks pal :)
Great-looking Pere David stag Kevin
Those are definitely looking better these days  Hope to see you in the Guardians thread
Were staying home today - no Wagon Wheel Cafe so, it'll be eggs up with waffles and Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage for breakfast and short-ribs for dinner tonight. Among others, I'm carrying this Standard Lambfoot custom recovered with Snakewood by Jason @Signalprick. It gets far more use than mention by me. Might just make it my slicer for opening X-Mas packages.

That's a nice re-cover Ed

That’s pretty resourceful. I put together a couple of mil-art orders for our wardroom during my time on that boat to ensure we would get some.

I'm ashamed of my mug ... it's clean
No longer my primary EDC mug, nor is the Demo my primary EDC
But man, what great memories when I have hands on 'em
I guess I'm trying to be a civilian but I have a queen size bed and still only sleep on >||< that much of it, even after 15yrs
