What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I grew up just 8 miles north of Galena. It’s interesting to go back and see these small towns that have been resurrected, as I call it. Galena, and a lot of the other small towns in the area, seemed like they were falling apart when I was a kid and now they’re considered destinations. My Dad still lives in the same little house he bought in 1969. He and my uncle drive down to the little ski area and sit in the parking lot and watch the skiers going down the hill. He gets enjoyment out of it so thats all that matters. Enjoy your trip.
Thanks 315. We like it there because it’s so different from the mostly flat area where we live. It’s more like the southern/southeast part of the state which is WAY closer to us but there isn’t any skiing. Cool story thanks for sharing it. 😎👍

Happy Boxing day, a 33Ot for the day. Used to carry one often years ago.

I love Paydays. Its exceedingly rare that I eat a candy bar these days, but back when I was working, I quite often had a Payday in my field bag. They don't melt! ☀️
Yesterday morning (Christmas morning) when I posted here, we had about five inches of snow that had fallen over Christmas Eve Night and I didn't figure it was worth mentioning. Well, throughout Christmas Day an additional seven inches of snow fell and another six or so inches fell overnight last night. Now I've gotta go out and shovel it and plow it. Oh joy !!! To put me in a better frame of mind, I'll be carrying this Case CV Sowbelly. It has absolutely no use when it comes to snow removal but I like it so I'm toting it. Gonna eat some eggs and sausage before I shovel/plow. Hope everyone has a great day. Oh, I'll pay $25.00 an hour to any of you who want to come and shovel for me.

Good luck with your snow Ed ☃️
$25/hr isn't nearly enough :p
Overcast and spitting rain, 45 degrees, so not that great, but better than all that snow.
Carrying a Tourist around in the yard today.

Happy Boxing Day!
Back to my Fall Creek and Eureka Jack today. The EJ was a Christmas gift, and my wife did put it under the tree for a few hours on Christmas Eve. Then it was un-wrapped and back in my pocket!
Have a good one!

72 degree and mild NW winds, dropped the boat in the water and took my visiting family for a cruise down the ICW to New River and back. Did use the knife, youngest daughter found some tags in her new sweatpants and wanted them removed - Porch Member to the rescue! Took my standard boating pocketknife. OH

Ravishing Robesons JJ :)
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)
Guess it's all over for another year, though I still have a Christmas pudding, and several boxes of mince pies that need addressing  Hope everyone had a very happy day, and that you're feeling in fine form today :) The weather is miserable here again in Yorkshire, with worse on the way  Reckon I'll just hunker down indoors, and admire some fine American cutlery :)

It sounds like you're well stocked with post Christmas treats, no better way to dig into them than with your two American Beauties! 😋 😁
