Ooh. Shots fired.Nice Ed, you picked a beauty for sure!
Stopped in Fulton at the Eagle View Liquor store on the way up, picked up some bourbon.
One of these days I want to visit the Ulysses S. Grant place, looks very cool, even from the road.
Steve, when you were there did you get a chance to meet him?
Great name Ed!![]()

If you don’t know who’s buried in Grant’s tomb, you’re qualified for a career in politics or teaching.

Oh yes. It’s important to pick the right knife for bed!Swapped out the Case Bose tribal lock blue and black carbon fiber weave for this pocket warn whiskey bone. Last minute change of heart before bed time lol .![]()
Never too late, Gary! I like to drag it out anyway.A belated Happy Birthday, Jeff!
Appreciate it!Happy Birthday Jeff!!! Congrats on an important milestone... discount fast food coffee!![]()
But that’s only for the tiny cups!
True, but the sawcut brown delrin is all OT.Happy Belated Birthday.
Thank you for the information. Uncle Henry was the stainless side of Schrade and Old Timer the carbon side. Nice looking knife
I’ll bet Sears had the big customer clout to order SFOs in any spec they wanted.
It’s funny, though. The blades were pristine and unsharpened when I saw it on the auction site, but nobody bid against me because the shield was missing. My kinda deal.
Thanks!
Thank you, Jer. Let me know if you need any sage, wisdom, or parsley.I sharpen my cousin's knives every year.
I missed this. Happy Birthday. (Spellcheck suggested "Birdbath".)
You're five months ahead of me.
True. My Schrade 175 sheepfoot jack, while not an Old Timer, is stainless, which I think is because it was a floral knife. It’s marked as stainless, though, with the +.In the last years of the company most, maybe all of the Old Timers had stainless blades, although often not marked as such.
Well, since my beard is already gray at my young age, I’ve been grossly mistaken as a geezer for quite a while. Meanwhile, my best half is hoping I grow up soon.Jeff to Jeff, have a great one, and welcome to "Geezerville." You only turn 65 once, so enjoy it!
Thanks, Jeff!
