After learning of the passing of our old friend Half/Stop in my absence (slightly over a year ago😥) I decided to carry a Primble Belknap Jack Knife today to honor him for his contributions on this forum. He gave me this knife to add to my Primble collection years ago and I cherished it then, possibly more now. I was lucky enough to spend some time with him and his wife Pam at one of the GEC Rendezvous for a few dinners and a few days. We made a knife trade from the trunk of my car just before I departed for home. RIP Ron and thank you my friend ! View attachment 1716365
I can't put into words how nice it is to see you posting again Mr. Primble . Your Knives and Photos are Always a delight to see . Your collection of the Old Cats is missed . I had the pleasure of visiting with Ron in Tennessee , just a few months before his passing , and we talked a lot about Knives and People on the Forum . He & I agreed that we would really like to see you re-start posting again on a regular basis . I trust that you are in good health and that things are going well for you and your's my friend .

Thanks Dave !!! ... And beautiful bone on that Cheetah !!! Nice :)
Thanks Brother!!!:D nice photo of the mumbley-peg
Thank you Todd, it’s the lack of light that makes it look so vintage, for now ;)

Thank you as well Jeremy, I did the exact same and bought two here on our exchange.
The all nickel-steel and cigarillo size all in one just sealed the deal.

Today’s carry is always a difficult one to let go of, model 1823…

So happy to see your posts again Primble!, as always, your photography, and knives are legendary and much appreciated.
One of my favorite TC's, your looks so good with all that beautiful patina!
Beautiful knives, guys.
You’ve inspired my totes for today.
A Primble Serpentine Jack, which like the NYKC above, shows it’s obvious SW 294 dna.
And one of my regular TL-29s...View attachment 1716275View attachment 1716276
Speaking of Primbles, nice one, loving the main blade! Did you make the glass slide also? My brother in law went to Disney World and the whole family came back with the rona, lots of my team at work is also affected. Hope everyone here stays safe and healthy, glad to hear Sacto Sacto s daughter and tmd_87 tmd_87 are doing ok.

Carrying my Charlie Lamb for Black Friday
One of the best! Great example, I keep getting drawn into the wood background, so interesting.
Ron was a special kind of friendly. We have visited GEC four times during their summer Rendezvous. Ron and Harry Old Engineer Old Engineer were both very welcoming and friendly during our first visit. We quickly realized the majority of the fun with this kind of trip was the fraternity of knife enthusiasts. It truly was more about meeting nice people than the knives. It was sad knowing that we wouldn’t see him as we drove to Titusville last summer.

One of my favorite knives came from Ron. He knew how much I liked the Bloodwood Gun Scout and asked if I wanted it.

@Primble your knives and your pictures have always been some of my favorites. I hope to meet at a future GEC Rendezvous.
What a perfect reminder of Ron's generosity, and such a great knife, thaks for sharing. Ron was always kind and friendly to me also (as he was to everyone). He was one of the greatest porch members and will definately always be missed and remembered.
Toting these two from GEC today. :)
Great pair, your photography is always stellar!
After carrying my ebony GEC Irish (Speaker) Jack I decided it's similar yet opposite counterpart today was appropriate, the 2013 Forum Knife.

Excellent pairing Jeff :)

(Oops! Too many pics!)

You top picture reminds me of last summer. We had a Mexican contractor out for something, and he commented on my garden. I took him over and picked a bag of jalapenos for him. He said “Oooh chee-lays!” And I learned something from him. He spotted a sprawling squash vine in the front yard (volunteer planted by chipmunks), and said they use the blossoms in cooking, so he got a sack of those too.
That's very interesting about the blossoms Jeff, I love to discover new edibles, and when travelling, have often come across things other folks eat, which are wasted here
Good Morning Guardians

This may not be the place to ask, but are there any Cuban traditional knives? Besides a machete of course. :) I know this will be hard to show any examples because of the embargo we have, but any pre-Castro? And post-Rev if any too.
