What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying this Schrade Slimline Trapper today. Bought it new in the early ‘80s; it’s been a good one.

Thanks John. 😊👍

Nice photo Mike, looks like you guys got a little more snow your way. 😊

That HOT looking SAK should have all that snow melted in no time. ;)
Thanks guys :)
I'm liking the Alox
It's a heavy, wet snow and the temp is right around freezing. It'll be a bigger mess in a few hours when it all freezes over 🧊
I had this forum knife out too. Not the best pic, but I didn't want to set it in the snow ;)

File this under ridiculous story's.😁

I got what I thought was a nuisance call from India (I get lots),I struggled to understand what was being said.

Turns out its the French head maintenance man on the estate I walk on sometimes.

I had asked for some tree stumps next time a tree fell,he said he had some wood I could have.

When I arrived it wasn't quite what I meant (misunderstanding) but I took 4 bits that filled my boot anyway and was grateful.

I had meant to take my SAK soldier 77 but grabbed the X instead,I didnt want to drop my BF knife in the woods.

On the way back the local church had bright lights coming out of the main door so I thought I would take a look at the refurbishment.

Sadly they had removed all the lovely old pews but kept a few of the kneeling cushions, some commemorate the local Army units as was.

There was a music teacher coaching this young lady who had a tremendous voice so I sat and listened a while.

I struggle to make out the words anyway but this time one of the reasons was she was singing in French (coincidence), which I didn't realise until he stopped and corrected her pronunciation .

Fittingly it seemed to me the names of those who had given there lives in WW1 and WW2 where looking over her shoulder.

In my defence I can only listen to a little bit of that high pitched opera type stuff before it sets my nerves on edge 🤣

Gracias por la info.

I've been on the pocket fixed blade bandwagon for awhile. I like the one you're carrying.
These two today. Still -5 F here! I'll have to bundle up to feed the birds. I'm sure they'll be waiting this morning.

Thanks. I never liked canvas micarta before, but this one feels is nice and smooth like wood, not fuzzy.
Time to shelter in place from snowmageddon, make beans and cornbread and watch football. There'll be food prep duty today for this old friend.

It was gifted to me maybe 35 years or so back from my USMC best bud. First knife I ever had with my name engraved on the blade.
