Good Morning Porch Friends
Picking the Rams but rooting for the Bengals
Great pic John :)
In the meantime, my mother-in-law slipped on the ice and cracked her patella, so she’s in a brace from hip to ankle. This means she and Dad need a little help. Last weekend, my wife spent Sat evening and all day Sunday there doing laundry, cooking, etc.
Today she’s going down to deliver a giant pot of beef vegetable soup I made over the last three days. I’m going to miss that smell every time I walk into the house!
Hope she recovers soon Jeff
Amazing horn on that SFO, Jack.
Thank you very much my friend :)
Glad you got the card Jer! :D ;)
Thank you very kindly, Jack!!! :)

Certainly a pair of super cool slicers for your Sunday, Jack; I love the horn covers on your Lamb and the Wheatly Bros. is a magnificent elder statesman! 😁
Many thanks for the kind words JJ :)
Sunday slicer selection. :)
Great pic of those two colourful Sunday slicers JJ, plenty of blade options there :)

🐾🐈 Had to count the rings on the tail....really thought my Tabby had at last got fed-up with the winter cabin fever and joined you:D She wants to get out and hunt but the snow's more than twice her standing height...so she attacks me from time to time, climbs everything then tops up on sleep, grand life.

That knife's a Grand Ol Boy too, and still working cheerfully by the look of it

Regards, Will

How can the week go wrong when you start it off like that, sweet knives Jack.
😎👍
Today in my pocket I carry this A. Wright & Son Lambsfoot in Ironwood.

Gorgeous ironwood Jose’. 😎👍
Happy Monday Everybody
Solid start to the week John. 😎👍

Resins as used in knife handle/scale production are generally synthetic and thus just another form of “plastic.” Many stabilized woods and all micartas use a sythetic resin too…so even though they may have an organic base, wood or say cotton denim, they are saturated in synthetic resin (i.e., plastic). Polymers, acrylics, phenolic, Bakelite, Formica, Corelon, Kirinite, G10 are terms/brand names for a form of plastic. G10 is akin to micarta in that a fabric, in this case inorganic, is saturated in synthetic resin and treated with heat and pressure to harden.
All this is why I’m a big fan of Delrin. I hate plastic.😗

Hello, back after a few days without knife because of the convoy of freedom in Paris.
Good day to all, have a nice week
I hope that irony doesn’t get lost...

Glad you’re back!
