Strix sure looks like a handy knife. Does it fit in the pocket or do you carry it in a belt-sheath?

It sure is! Going for this knife is one of the best decisions I've made yet; I still can't believe how "just right" it is in my hands, and/or when cutting through whatever I need it to. I learn more about good edge geometry every time I use it.

Strix just totally mocked some onions (a side result being, the patina is now even more developed than appears above :)).

It fits in my pocket, just. If I (or my pockets, heh) were shorter, it probably wouldn't. In addition to the mondo-protective, well-thought-out sheath that came with it, I'm trying out a KSF pocket sheath. Either way, it's a nice set-up.

What is it about blue? My daughter just turned three, so she hasn't yet taken possession of her first knife. This morning at breakfast she watched me using my stag #73. I asked her if she wanted a knife when she grows up. She thought a moment and said, "Hmmm...a blue one!"

Nice knife P.

A woman after my own heart. :)

Also, thanks.

have you sanded the 'bull nose' and pivot/pin decal off?

looks nice!

No sanding here. I cut up a bunch of fruit and the blade took a slow patina, the pivot has no stamp because it's an earlier version from before the F&F branding.

That apple's doomed!:D:eek: Nice shot too, GEC Canoe I assume? Don't see them much.

Today Böker tiny lockback in stag.

Thanks, Will

I've been meaning to say, I love how well you use your GEC canoe, and all the pictures you take and share with us.

The knife looks much better as presented here by you than it appears in most any other picture I've seen, stock or otherwise.

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Carbon Opinel #6 for the sharp work and a beat, rescued Old Timer 580T for the dirty stuff... This one seems to have found a place as my new work knife

:o Thanks. Honestly, if it weren't for ease of use with my cell phone and the photobucket app, it wouldn't happen as often. It's actually kind of fun to make a new picture.

Willgoy, it's a GEC Canoe. I'm surprised they don't get more attention. I'm not sure I've seen any others posted here. It's really an awesome little knife that feels good in the hand. Like a lot of the other GECs, it's 3.5" closed. The spear feels bigger when in use and the pen takes the small tasks. Rides in the pocket well too. Normally, I like bigger knives, but this one gets in my pocket most often.
