Fenton & Sons LTD Farrier Horseman, (1860-1970) Sheffield, England, 3.5" closed length, and a very useful piece of cutlery. The triangular shaped punch and the corkscrew spring to a stop at 90 degrees. There is a curved spring steel type toothpick that slides under the scales at the bare end and holds in place tightly. Might be hard on the teeth though !
A lot of work from real craftsman went into this knife. I had it out last night and oiled the joints, so decided to put it in my watch pocket for the day. Mr. Jack could probably date this knife better than the vague info in the Goins Encyclopedia. I have 1925-1935 beside it on my knife sheet, so he might have narrowed it down for me some years ago.
