What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Fenton & Sons LTD Farrier Horseman, (1860-1970) Sheffield, England, 3.5" closed length, and a very useful piece of cutlery. The triangular shaped punch and the corkscrew spring to a stop at 90 degrees. There is a curved spring steel type toothpick that slides under the scales at the bare end and holds in place tightly. Might be hard on the teeth though ! ☺️ A lot of work from real craftsman went into this knife. I had it out last night and oiled the joints, so decided to put it in my watch pocket for the day. Mr. Jack could probably date this knife better than the vague info in the Goins Encyclopedia. I have 1925-1935 beside it on my knife sheet, so he might have narrowed it down for me some years ago. 🤔

43 with North American Cow Bone.

Nice work Rachel - you know a lot more about egg plant than I do! :D Great to have your company, and that makes for a very classy pairing :)
Thanks, Jack. Roasted eggplants and green beans have become my pandemic staple. I enjoy skipping a trip to the store and going to the backyard to pick dinner.

Speaking of classy pairings, it's a double Morley day.

That is a masterpiece. 🥰

Headed to town for an appointment with the foot doctor for a toenail clip. I've got Type II diabetes and Medicare pays to have a Podiatrist clip my toenails. Forgot why - something to do with sharp nails causing sores that go septic but never mind, I'll get a "I Was a Good Boy" sticker and maybe a lolly pop out of the deal and of course breakfast at the Wagon Wheel Cafe. This SS Autumn Bone Sod Buster Jr. should make a good companion for this trip.

That beauty certainly looks familiar my friend, those 'prickers' are probably better suited to winkling out a winkle, or pricking a gas mantle, than picking your teeth :D Great to see one of those knives in such lovely condition. It also has a nut-cracker (for hazelnuts)

Sounds delicious Rachel :) Those two look great together

Looks like she’s got a nice lake-front view. And a Lakeside bar? 🍺👍
She does, we are a little further back in the cove and woods. Yes we call that the “Dam Bar” because we aren’t far from the dam. I finished that a couple of years ago. It’s a really fun hangout.
I carried this Frontier today. Nice and slim in my pocket.

That’s a hat trick for sure Jack. 🏒🥅
😄
Nice knives and an awesome slip. 😉👍
Sweet knives Jeff, I see you guys weren’t done with winter. 😊
This Boker is keeps finding its way into my pocket lately. It's just so light and easy to carry that it's a no-brainer, usually paired with a small fixed blade.

They’re addicting for sure. 😎👍

Good Luck ALL the way 🤩:thumbsup:
Luckily the ring was more than enough for her sir 😂😂 thank you very much!
I’ll say congratulations because hopefully you knew the answer before you asked. An exciting day!
I indeed knew the answer for a while now sir, it was one of the most memorable days of my life! Thank you!
Best of luck!
Thank you Barrett!

Thank you all so very much! Of course, I’ve known what the answer was going to be for a long time now, but she said yes!! She was kind of expecting me popping the question but I surprised her really well with a surprise after-party I had planned with close family and friends! The photographer I hired to capture the moment for us took some sweet pics of my knives I carried as well haha. Here’s a cropped one of the Mount of Olives to adhere to thread rules 😃 it was certainly a day I will never forget!
