Platano maduro is Cuban for throwing stick.
Great group you have today, Jer.
What a great pair, Jon.

These two for me today.

On the road again,I didn’t intend to go for a ride just check the bike over to be ready.
SAK scissors to the rescue again fitting some bits under the seat.
A snooze in the sun after lunch.
Then a 40 mile loop and ended up having a coffee in Henley on posh.

Difficult in these times though to take enjoyment while others suffer.🥲

You sure have some beauties in the Serpentine Jack pattern, Steve!
I have some old catalogs that call that pattern a slim Trapper and others that call it a Serpentine Jack.
I think the Serpentine Jack might have evolved over time into being called a slim Trapper. 🤔
Maybe calling it either one you like or even Trapper Jack is appropriate. 😇

Certainly frustrating, Jack. Hopefully no daffodils were damaged in the delivery of your mail. That Boker looks pretty handy.
Thanks Jeremy, the daffs have sprung back, as did the delivery driver when I shouted at him! :D
I haven't seen that show; I believe it was a different one that we were both watching (Kevin can **** Himself)? I wonder when the new season starts.

I'll leave the pearl at home and carry the pickbone today:

It must have been Barrett I was talking to about it Rachel :) I remember the odious Kevin! :D I had a look for Season 2 the other day, but it wasn't available here yet. I understand that Season 2 will be the last, so hopefully that's due to the demise of Kevin ;) That's some beautiful old bone
Looks like a fun little knife. 🤠
Thanks John, I remember carrying it quite a bit, but not for a while
Good Morning Porch Friends
Nicely matched my friend
A couple of 70's era Stockman's today :

Two smashers Mr P :) Outstanding pics, as always :)
Great to see those two together Gev :) Wow!
With a few exceptions, the series is actually surprisingly faithful to the book. It is a bit out there! 😉😁
Oh really? 🤣 Definitely one of Ian McShane's wilder performances! :D
Have you watched Good Omens? That’s another Neil Gaiman book (co-written with the late Terry Pratchett) that I think they did a great job adapting into a series.
Yes, I enjoyed it mate :) I'm looking forward to the Sandman series
Interesting little fixed blade. I imagine that fob helps you get a bit more grip on it.
The fob makes a big difference Barrett

That’s great news!
I didn’t wish you good luck because I’m a jinx.
No outstanding member of The Porch can be a jinx IMO sir. Thank you very much 😃

I very much missed having the forum knife in my pocket! I think I will carry around two GEC’s with me for this week with the forum knife remaining constant and the second changing every day. I neglect my collection sometimes because I’ll carry the same knife for a week or a two at a time and I don’t want to bore anyone with the same knife every day 😄

My BFF has been riding in my pocket or sitting on my desk... Always close at hand. 🤠
I think we made a good purchase, John! Mine is always close by too.
The fob makes a big difference Barrett
They do Jack! I still need to add one to my BFF, although it really doesn't need one as bad as some of my small FBs do.
Your best friend must be pretty small to fit in your pocket. 🤣🤣🤣 🤪
LOL. These best friends work better when they are clipped in your pocket! ;)

It’s hard to believe that some of the most invasive and persistent species were imported and planted on purpose.
I guess you’re glad it’s not kudzu! The last time we were down your way we saw a LOT of it. Around here, it’s European Buckthorn and Gray Dogwood. I’ve managed to get rid of them and the multiflora rose and poison ivy. Well, mostly. It’s harder if you don’t like herbicides.

I am also a big fan of Echo machines.
Multiflora woulda been a great hedgerow, guess the importers didn’t realize the birds enjoy the berries so much. Not a lot of kudzu in my county but fall off the ridge about 2k feet and it’s thick.
I’ve moved from German and Scandi equipment to Echo recently. The power : price value is so good. They get a workout and keep chugging along with normal upkeep
