We were in Burlington yesterday and we have a Poor Photo of the status of The Car On The Ice . Was still up on the Ice , but is listing a little . Today was another warm day , so it may be listing some more .

Then today was some working outside and then another early Supper at Local Folks restaurant for some great Corned Beef and Cabbage and was carrying this Northfield 83 .

Harry

Thanks for the Car on the Ice update, Harry! It does look like it won’t be long before it takes the plunge. šŸ™‚

We’ve had a couple 50-degree days here, and the ice on Minnetonka was looking a bit wet on top when I drove by earlier today. Here’s a pic I took a couple nights ago, using the ā€œnight modeā€ on my phone’s camera. This was the last night before our little ā€œheat wave,ā€ and folks were getting in some ice fishing while they still could (or at least, while they still could from the convenience of their vehicles).

I went with a thrifty carry for St. Patrick’s Day.

Should we inform your headline writer what ā€œdecimateā€ means, or just let them be?

Well, I know for danged sure I had nothing to do with it, Joey.

Happy St. Patrick's day to all and especially those who enjoy the holiday! Day one of the Redwood Region Logging Conference, too busy to get a pic at the actual conference but this was the opening day carry. It's so great to see so many people involved or wanting to get involved in the timber industry!

Thanks, Harry. I don’t know that it’s actually called ā€œnight modeā€ anywhere on the phone itself, though I have seen that term used in advertising. By default, it activates automatically in low light situations, and is similar to taking a long exposure shot with a ā€œrealā€ camera. You can adjust the settings on it, for example, the automatic setting is a 3 second exposure, but for that photo I dialed it up to the max, which was 10 seconds. The results, of course, aren’t as good as what you could achieve with a DSLR (I think to some extent the results are digitally altered as opposed to being a true long exposure), and I didn’t have any sort of tripod when I took that photo, but it can still produce some interesting images and is fun to play around with.
