• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Excellent idea. I think someone said the box was at 17 pounds, not too long ago?

I think I'm going to stay out.
I see a lot of teensy tiny knives in the picture I'd never carry.
With my "luck" (note quotes) those would be in the box I won, along with a note saying "Congratulations! Keep them all!" or words to that effect.

If I won the send it on box, I wouldn't be able to send it out until January 02, 2022 which is way NOT timely. (presuming I could get a staff member to go to the postal, get a flat rate box, take it back to postal after I filled it, in the first place.)

Also, I'd rather not take a chance I would be able to get a member of staff to help me send it on.
We're still under the Covid's lockdown. With that new edition that recently came out, I don't see the Governor Little lifting his assisted living lockdown in the foreseeable future, residents vaccinated or not. ☹️
Why take a chance on getting one of the staff to get what I need at the postal, and sending it out, since I can't do it myself?

Since I'm almost as old as rocks today (and still a little younger than dirt), I decided to carry my only knife with rock covers (RR1419 Stoneworx "large" (only/just 4 inch closed) Stockman) to commemorate the event.
Don't know what I'm going to carry if I get as old as dirt. I don't have a knife with dirt covers.
The SAK Evo Grip 14, Mini Champ, the Toferner Celtic Pocket/Neck Knife, and Leatherman Charge+ TTI are also helping commemorate or celebrate my waking up alive every morning for the last 67 years. 😊👍
(No doubt my ex and a few others will have a bigger celebrate when I quit waking up alive. In the mean time, it kinda sorta fun ticking them off that I am.😁)

Happy Birthday!!

What are those two pens on the right all about?

Joe

Beautiful pictures Ed. 😎👍

…and man they snap open with authority.
😎👍

Thanks Bart. They are pretty cool, I’m hoping for some little ones again. It’s been 10 years since we had a hatch. 😊

That knife looks good in Ebony Mark. 😎👍

Such a cool shot. 😊👍

I spend 16 hours dreaming about the next knife I can’t live without! 🤣🤣🤣

Very cool shot Jim. I’ve seen them snag a fish on our lake too. And to think that they were almost extinct when I was a kid, it’s amazing to see them.

Happy birthday! 🎉
Thank you Todd :)

I carried this one again today. I made a couple horn beads this week, so I swapped the antler bead for one of those.

Jinhao 992 fountain pens. The black has a Jinhao cartridge black ink. The gray has Noodlers 54th MA., in the included with the pen ink converter, which is a "Union" blue. Supposed to "fade to gray over time". I don't know how long that "over time" is. I do know it isn't the drying time.
They are acrylic pens, so are nowhere close to the tonnage of the Brass barrel and cap X450's.
I like the classic fatter "Cigar"/"Torpedo" shape over the skinny and square end pens.

Had my Case large stockman in my pocket while signing a bunch of papers and wiring a bunch of money today.

Congrats on the new home Tyson. Nice case companion, did you bring along a special pen for signing too?

Ralph
Awesome colors on those covers Todd, and the bead and slip are top notch too. Have turtles came out of hibernation yet? We have a local pond near by that I haven’t visited in about 6 weeks, I’ll have to visit it soon and keep an eye out for turtles, I’ve seen them before, it was warmer weather from what I recall. We had some snow this morning on the foot hills of the benches… I guess spring has not fully sprung yet.

Very nice, Todd 👍
Thanks Bart. 😊

The beads you’re making are really nice Bart, they look great with that old Case.
😎👍

Thanks Ralph. I don’t think they have completely come out yet. We’ve had a few warmer days and they may have dug out but they will dig back in if it gets cold again. I leave the leaves in the enclosure until about mid April for that reason.

I don’t think it has either, they have flurries in the forecast for tomorrow. 🙄

The covers on your Trestle Pine are amazing and that blade is a beast. 😎👍

Carrying the Colonial sheepsfoot baseball bat again this year for Opening Day/Thrifty Thursday.
Hard to believe 🤢basket ball🤮 season is finally over. 😁 When does it start again ... this Saturday, or has it already started?👎😭👎
"Too soon" whenever it is. 👎
Almost as exciting as watching paint dry and/or watching the weeds growing in the sidewalk cracks ...☹️
