Glad it’s Friday.

Thankfully it is! I think I’ve seen that knife before 😉
Have a fine Friday, ok?View attachment 1804431View attachment 1804432I am rebuilding my garden fence to accommodate my expanded garden, so my main tool today will be the same as yesterday ~ a pair of fencing pliers. Off to buy more T posts.
Awesome combo. I think I’m going to have to steal that idea next week

No need to steal, Jon. All my ideas and advice are free.
And worth every penny. 😗

I’ll look forward to seeing your Navy Utility Jack. If I recall, yours is an Imperial, right? That’s the one of the three makes I do not have, but that’s ok. I’ll never wear out the Camillus or Pal.

It’s funny how we get attached to certain patterns. Back when a modern one hand opener closed on my fingers while cutting a plastic field tile under water down in a trench going all the way down to the bone, I put them aside and went back to my slipjoint roots. This Camillus was my first purchase of a traditional knife in years. I remember that the auction ended during a friend’s wedding reception, and I was bidding with my phone hidden under the table. And I remember worrying what my wife would say when she found out I spent $24 on an old knife.🤣

Anyway, Dad served on a destroyer in the ‘50s, and never was issued one of these. And my Father in law served as a radioman in the Air Force, and had never seen a TL-29 before I showed him one of mine!

That's a great-looking combination JJ, and another practical one too  :)
Thanks so much for the kind words, Jack!!! :)
Friday! 🥳 I'm celebrating with a Double Lambsfoot Day! :D Got my Hartshead Barlow, and an Old Friend :)

That's quite a magnificent duo of super slicer Lambsfoot lovelies for you; the horn covers on your "old friend" look like cool rare jewels! ;)

Thanks! I’ll pass that warning along. Looking at the real estate photos of their new place, in the winter pics it looks like they draw down the water level, and there’s a ton of standing timber. Great for casting for largemouth, but kinda hazardous looking for boating.
I have two fishing boats, and told him I want to give him one. Hard to get in serious trouble with a fifteen foot aluminum fishing boat and a little eight horse Mercury.
It should be a good fishing location Jeff - just wanted to caution you about the hazards. 😉☺️
Since I am determined to not buy any more knives, unless there’s a ‘22 Forum Knife, of course, I get enjoyment from seeing the latest acquisitions of my Porch friends.

Who did the feather in the #8? It’s fantastic!
I bought that off the exchange as a custom Opinel. I need to ask the seller more about it. The feathers might be factory custom. They come together on the back and look like wings from that vantage point.
