What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It's a keeper for sure... Never delete it and show it to everybody... especially her future boyfriends.
As a father of three girls, that was my first thought! :D

Hoping for a better day today.

Well yesterday I had my pockets stuffed with good luck charms, as well as a pair of old Barlows. I had a grand day planned to celebrate my winning the Hartshead Barlow in Mr. Jack's GAW, which I figured might be counting my chickens before they Hatched, but, I was confident in my good luck charms. 🍀 🍀

Early a.m. - I was on my way to breakfast at Granny's Diner and my tire sensor lamp on my Wrangler lit up the dashboard and alerted me that I only had 14 p.s.i. in my R.R. tire. Not to be side tracked from my breakfast, I went ahead as planned. After my breakfast, I stopped by a shop on the way home and learned I had run over a inch and a half long bolt, which was quickly repaired. After I returned home, Elijah was feeling poor and after a while I figured out he had a hair ball problem and gave him some medicine.

I took off on my walk and it had become quite windy. About half way through my walk, a gust of wind occurred and I felt a splat-splat. Did not take long to find I had fresh bird droppings in two places on my freshly ironed shirt and two more droppings on my britches. Changed my clothes when I got home and consoled my poor feeling Maine Coon.

Had a dinner planned with my close friends in Lexington, only after Elijah seemed to be feeling better.

Late afternoon and on my way to Lexington, not feeling at all deterred by my stunning GAW loss and determined to make the day a better day, I was off on my 45 mile journey. I arrived to meet my friends at Olive Garden and as I arrived, severe storm warning sirens were blaring. My trusty Frog Toggs jacket kept some of the driving rain off of me, as I ran across the parking lot.

One of my friends had followed her husband in her car and I learned that he went straight at a traffic light when she turned left and he did not have a phone with him. He arrived some two hours later, as we were all leaving the restaurant and after, surprisingly, enjoying a fine dinner, amid the discussions of possibly requesting a Golden Alert for the lost husband.

So my lucky charms have all been discarded and I will tote a single knife today, to remind me not to count my chickens before they Hatch. Fun GAW Mr. Jack, even though you didn't dig deep enough in that old English hat ! 😇🤣

I had my fingers crossed for you Mr P! 🤞 🤣 What a day of travails my friend! I hope you're having a better day today, with that fabulous Hatch, and better luck next time ;)
Sure wish we had voted for a spiral punch on that Buck 301 Forum Knife!
That would have been special

Nice pairing Jeremy :)

I am thoroughly enjoying pictures of your whittling talent. What’s your wood of choice?
I’ll be totin a whittler today in your honor.
Thank you, I carve in basswood for the vast majority of the pieces you see me post. However this gentleman is in a piece of cedar that was damaged in a storm behind my house. He is an earlier face that I have done, I am fond of this piece because of how he fits with the wood so well.

Better so far Mr. Jack and I hope I don't come across as a whiner to anyone.
It's a true story ! ................. no need for anyone to feel sorry for my shortage of knives though. 😉😇
I knew when the bird droppings hit me that my plans weren't going so well. 🤣
Thanks again for the fun ! 🤣🤣🤣

I think I found the solution to those hard sprung knives that are so tough for everybody to open... Use The Force.
Love it! 😄👍
Good looking covers on those Jeremy.

Very cool picture Mike, nice covers. Should look great with some more age. 😎👍

Thanks John, I agree.
Bright sunny day here with the rain finally pushed out and the river level dropping I thought I'd add a little color with my carry today.
