It may not be astonishing that we are carrying similar knives today. 😁
I love a simple well-built knife. 🤠
I'm starting to sense a theme in your choices. 😁
Simple elegance. 🤠

Nice Jon, maybe that carry will help the cards. šŸ˜‰šŸ‘

Nice Owl, love the patina. šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘

Always a good choice Jeremy. šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘

Nice post Jeff. Maybe your new ally will bring some friends and save you some work. ā˜ŗļø
Thanks, Rob!
I think the one yellerjacket I saw brought his posse back. I went out yesterday looking for cabbage worms, and was happy to see a whole bunch of them hunting over my cauliflower rows!
Nice to know a Yellow Jacket is good for SOMETHING!
Amazing. Mother Nature rules!

Fun fact~ this time of year they need protein for raising their larvae. I the fall, they forage for sweets for surviving the winter. That’s why they are such a pain at fall pucnics, getting pop cans, and all over the watermelon.
I am a big fan and user of pre-2004 US made Schrade Oldtimers. Rock solid knives of high quality .

This is my 225OT USA Son of a Gun.

I love it!
And yes, USA made Schrades are about as good as a person could ask for.
Patrick, I’m curious if you get those same worms on your broccoli just like Jeff??? Probably not- your broccoli looks better than the stuff he has in his garden- heck - it almost looks like a mini tree! 🤪

Look out for those wasps!

Glad to see you back posting. That pruner has soul for days.

Great pairing today Jeff!

Thanks, I think.🤪

Nice! This is a banner year for my black raspberries. I already have two gallons in the freezer, and one in the fridge, and I’ll be back out there again today.

I’ve been pruning and mulching with woodchips, and it’s paying off.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Most likely stay home today but may make a quick trip to town for our weekly newspaper. Two eggs up and sausage for breakfast and Shepherds Pie for supper. Through it all, I'll be toting this #83 Tascosa.

Some complain of blade wobble with these knives but with the ones I have or have had, I've found that if you open the knife robustly with a snap the lock engages completely and eliminates all play - vertical, horizontal, sideways, etc.. This knife is only 1/8" shorter than our BF knife is going to be. Nice convenient size.
