Thank you sir, I hope you have a great vacation!!!
Thanks for the vacation well-wishes, gents.Thank you very much Gary, I hope you have a great vacation![]()
Thanks for the correction, Rachel. I thought to myself, "Somehow, I got her CK and Tina mixed up." But I did a Search of this forum and found no evidence that you EVER posted a Tina, so I'm more mixed up than I realized! Thanks, Gary. That's not a Tina; it's a CK Italy that Jack sent me a while back. A very pocketable pruner.
I envy your cold weather, if not the dryness. I visited a friend in the country, but even with the "cold front" it was too hot to play outside, except for about five minutes of rain that prompted us to put down our drinks and run outside to feel a few drops. We did get to see some shooting stars early in the morning, part of the Perseid meteor shower, I think.
Thanks for the info, Mike. I don't see many roads that narrow, although I'm in the UP now and was walking on a private gravel road this morning that would be too narrow for 2 cars to meet. Thanks Gary
That particular road is a private road. Its probably 1/2 mile long or so. There are two houses on it. One belongs to friend of mine. Its where I go to play cards. There are a couple of local county roads that aren't really two cars wide. I drive the one on a levee often. When meeting someone, the protocol is somebody pulls over as far as they feel safe doing and stops, and the other one eases by. The only non-locals on that road are lost![]()
Thanks for the info. Those old scouts are cool! It’s a scout with a pen blade instead of an awl. The shield indicates it’s from the 1980’s, at least from what I could find online to age Boker USA. The wear on it makes me think it was kept in a tool bag.
Very cool photo of that New Holland knife in the box. Strange that they have the penny in there. My understanding of the "coin for a gift knife" tradition, that I picked up in some thread here on BF, is that the person receiving the gift is supposed to come up with a coin for the giver, rather than giver providing both knife and coin.5K Qs … Yes, as I understand it the knife was made as an advertising knife for New Holland farm equipment … came in a nice little box, just so …

… glad you appreciated my little identity crisis!![]()
Thanks, Jeff. Nice story about that passage....
Thanks, my friend. Have a great vacation!
I agree about Isaiah. My son chose 43:1 for his brother’s memorial, and that book just falls open to that passage.

Man, Jim. All you need is for the microwave to stop with your mug handle facing the wrong way, and you can just write it off as NOT YOUR DAY.
...
I hate that mug handle to the back, too. I should be able to avoid it if I just measure the microwave's RPM. Too lazy, I guess, although I know that if I stick in the mug for one last 30 seconds of heating, the handle ALWAYS ends up on the back side....
Hate, HATE it when the microwave does that![]()
Ain't that the truth!![]()

I'll bet some of the textile "fixers" would welcome having a marlinspike to do some probing.I was going to post a rigging knife, but some mysterious mental current brought me from the Battle of Trafalgar to the textile mills of Utica.

Peeling my fruit while listening to 6 blade knife, who doesnt love picky blues?

I know nothing about playing guitar, but Dire Straits certainly has a lot of songs with guitar I like to listen to. I'll often say, "I'm gonna watch a Dire Straits video on YouTube before I go to bed." An hour later, I'm still watching them.I love the guitar on that song.
I hope Rough Ryder is paying you a commission for each burlap micarta knife they sell, Alan! You sure are making that work knife look splendid!

Why is it, a company can't leave well enough alone when they have a good product? For me the Eaton College has a clean, crisp smell and it makes a great lather and smooth shave
You take that back! I know I have very little!Canoes are the pattern of choice for persons of class!![]()
Could well be, for all I know about looms.I'll bet some of the textile "fixers" would welcome having a marlinspike to do some probing.
