What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Been on the road since Friday, going through Montana and up to Grandad’s grave. A little shot of the Fort Peck spillway.

I traveled through some gorgeous country in North Dakota trying to stick to 2 lane roadsView attachment 1901422View attachment 1901423
I tried to meet up with paulhilborn paulhilborn but our schedules didn’t work out. Made it over to Minnesota to meet up with an old Marine buddy and do some fishing. He’s holding a Northern I caught on an ultralight rod jigging for blue gillsView attachment 1901424

Another day of fishing tomorrow before I head further east
I also find that two lane roads (especially out West) lend themselves to the best sights, not to mention that is almost the only option in Wyoming. Awesome pics, Jim, thanks for sharing.

Starting off with this one, (thanks Modoc ED Modoc ED ) Beautiful dark chestnut CV mini trapper, but it looks a little naked, need to get that patina started.

Awesome knife, Todd. Not surprised to hear about more generosity from Modoc ED Modoc ED one bit. I also love seeing how the slip JohnDF JohnDF is aging...

This pair has been in my pocket so far this week.

We were going to go to town today but realized Cindy has a dental appointment tomorrow so we'll go to town tomorrow instead. Anyway, I've got some chores to do around the place so, I'll carry this SS Sowbelly. Sausage and pancakes for breakfast, Deviled Ham Spread potted meat and Ritz crackers for lunch, and tenderized pork cutlets for supper. It's gonna be a tasty day!!!

I have wanted a good, strong, solid lockback for quite a while. GECs 72LB in Gabon ebony or jigged bone is a grail knife for me, but the few times I've found one they're either 4 or 5 hundred dollars. I just can't afford that much, so I started looking around for some different lockbacks. Well, I finally went with this one, & it's built like a tank. So far, I'm very happy with it.
