What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Welcome back Mike, hope you had a good time. 😉👍
Thanks Todd :)
I almost always have a good time down there, although I'm a little bruised, battered and sore - two days brushing with a chainsaw, one day doing building repair (dropped a big ass board on my leg - the board was ok 😬), a slip and fall, and a six hundred mile drive - I'm not 60 anymore :p

recently, JonMcD JonMcD stirred up some GEC #12 Toothpick love, which prompted me to dig out the few I have …

... as tempting as the others are, I think I'm going to stick with the Copperhead bone as my user for now. I did carry the Stag for a week or so back when I first got it, but as much as I like the look of the 'sabre' blade, the flat grind is a noticeably better slicer.
So #12 Copperhead bone toothpick in my pocket today ... you know, for "This is what I feel like carryin' Wednesday" ... :)

Niiiiice. Beautiful elk and sambar. The pile side in both are stunning. Thanks for the show! Definitely some great keepers!

Good Morning Porch Friends and Happy National Knife Day.

Great pic John 😎👍
I’m digging your fixed blade, Jack. Quite a handsome hunk of blade! Better not tote it around town ~ it won’t be your Aunt confiscating it!
Who made that knife?
Thanks Jeff 😁 It was made, this year, by BPS Knives of Ukraine. There"s a thread about them. Great knives at a bargain price, and a company worth supporting I think 😊👍

That makes for a very useful combination Jeff 😎👍
I thought it was a hot lid lifter too, and still may use it for that.
It was gifted to me by Jack Black, and apparently it's a cap lifter... going to try it out soon.
That's hilarious John! 😁 And a great idea! I might have to get one myself! 😁😉👍
Woo Hoo !!!! As I posted yesterday, we went to town for the first time in 6-days. The first stop was the Post Office and then we went to the Wagon Wheel Cafe for breakfast - 2-eggs up, hash browns, 4-sausage links, and toast. Well, we walked into the Wagon Wheel and all the tables were sparkling because all the tables had new coffee cups on them. Snazzy cups at that. So, I bought four of them and they're now living at our house. The rims of these cups flare out slightly which allows me to put the rim over my split-lip and take a sip or slug without having the coffee run down my chin. No need for a straw with these cups. Really enjoying my cup of coffee this morning.

Great tale Ed 👍
Fab pair Jon 🙂👍

I have used a lot today for different purposes perhaps the most obscure use was…

My Vic pioneer X and farmer X used as paperweights and pointer once I found a location on my map.

I had set up a big table outside so I could view all my map to plan routes on the Iberian peninsula.

oh and I’ve found some fantastic routes and stunning little hotels.
