What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Fantastic Friday carry to get ready for the 3 day weekend 👍🏻👊🏻

EJ today! It's been a few years since I've fished the Salmon River. That cover makes me want to head north again soon.

I’d absolutely love to go salmon fishing one day soon. Just the thought of fresh caught salmon being cooked or served sashimi style at camp sounds like such a great time. One of my buddies took a road trip up to northern Cali I think by Sacramento or Sam Francisco for salmon fishing but him and his buddies were unsuccessful unfortunately

Proud Parents... You need one of Todd's cigars in the picture. 🤣
I’m not a cigar guy, so I’ll have to get a few pointers
Chilling on the deck waiting for my daughter to get home. She’s been in Hawaii since the end of May. Can’t wait to see her. 😊View attachment 1916761
That’s awesome Todd. Enjoy your time with her.
This one is pictured with my "Persian Excursion" certificate.

I love it. I earned my Persian Excursion when I was stationed in Bahrain 2017-2018

The 14 helped with a steak last night. The Schrade is new to me. View attachment 1914805
Congrats on the sweet Schrade Walden trapper! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

You grabbed a couple of classics to start your week of carnival fun in Leeds; my favorite live album is Live at Leeds fro 52 years ago! :) :cool: :D 👍👍
I also admired that album, JJ. :) I was sure I had a copy in the basement, but I can't find it. I'm now wondering if it actually belonged to a college roommate back when I used to regularly play it.

I was offered a Chestnut Case stockman by a forum member Once. I stupidly passed and have regretted it. While on my trip I grabbed one and it was waiting for me when I got home.

Choice chestnut jigged bone, Jim; wonderful welcome home event! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

World-class whittler and fine photo! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
On my daily route to and from work, I saw a mushroom just like this one several times as I walked by earlier this week. I took a camera with me yesterday to get a knife picture, but the fungus is no longer among us! ("Fungi" was the Wordle solution yesterday. ;))

Striking stag! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks John. It really is. I'm a big fan of running water and indoor plumbing.
Hope you get the well running again ASAP, Mike.
When I was a kid, our dairy farm had a well that was right in the basement. It was only about 15' below ground, and every once in a while it would "go dry", which required adjusting the pipe up or down a foot or two to get the well point back into the underground water. Eventually, the state required a deeper well because of "health concerns", and I think my Dad had to get a driller to come in who went down almost 200 feet to find an adequate source.

88 yeti today. Really like this pattern. Got my eyes on the gator green version. Wonderful slip courtesy of @sbh06. Jeremy does great work. Highly recommended.View attachment 1915806
Grand knife (and slip)! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

I pocketed these two yellow fellas today. :)
Love the French Ivory pair, especially the knife with the triangular shield! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I love your older etched Case Canoe, GT. 🤠 :thumbsup:
...
I think of all of your Canoes, this Mohawk is far and away my favorite. 👏

Sorry, though. Rotation schedules are contrary to my haphazard and impulsive personality!

Left brain/right brain kind of thing? \_🤥_/
Thanks, John and Jeff. :) I agree with Jeff in considering the stag Mohawk as my favorite canoe, but that 1975 red bone Case is runner-up. Those 2 canoes and a Black Box Winchester sowbelly stockman are the only knives I can think of that I still have never used, and I'm not sure why not; seems kind of "out of character" for me.o_O🤓

Jeff, I think I need the rotation schedule because I'm not very impulsive or spontaneous, and I can't afford spending all the time daily knife choosing would cost me; I wouldn't be able to just grab a knife and go.
As far as brains go, are you suggesting that each of us has only half a brain?? That would explain a lot, I suppose! 😁

Delightful double stag, José; I especially like the Case! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for letting the dogs out again, Gary! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Dug out this Buck to carry today.

Y😲WZA! That's a breathtaking Buck! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Gary, you are the King of Canoes! 😎👍
The “King of Canoes” strikes again, two winners Gary. 😎👍
Double thanks, Todd. :)
I'm wondering if it's more accurate to say the canoes are king of me! 🤓

This is my box of "users" that I pull my carries from most days...

These are the knives inside the box, they get carried often, but the Lambsfoot on the right hogs the pocket...

Very enjoyable "team pictures" of your users, John; nice to see them all in one place! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
(At first I thought your box was an old "Bag Balm" tin.)

Phenomenal pearl, Jim! :thumbsup::cool::cool: I enjoy the "research results" you often share in your posts!

Ettrick today. I kinda ran out of light but you get the idea.

Electrifying Ettrick, Bart! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
