What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice pair, Jason. How does that eureka jack handle/carry?

Kevin

I had to carry this JBF Champlin Eureka Jack. GEC did a wonderful job on theses things... Also had
my saddle brown TC Barlow in my watch pocket....

GEC Eureka jack that showed up this week. This is the first chance to use it since I broke off my thumb nail. I have to say GEC finally got it right with the pull on this one! Smooth at a nice "5". Took way too many models to finally figure this out. F&F is outstanding with very nice grinds on both blades. Final bevel/sharpness is flat out dull at >>40 degrees inclusive so it will need a new reprofile this weekend. This is going to be a great knife!

That CSC looks almost identical to this old Utica I refurbished,

At 3 1/4" closed and linerless, this one almost disappears in pocket.

Glad you are enjoying it though. And that's a cool photo of it.

Here is one of my favorite knives riding along for the day.

Pete, Doug, thanks for that. Very interesting.

I have to say its VERY similar to that Utica.

Much obliged sirs.

Took my Maserin Sodbuster for a walk in the woods today.

Stopped for lunch in a hide in a local nature reserve.

Watched this Greater Spotted Woodpecker and assorted feathered friends.

recently managed to get it sharp enough for me. whatever queen makes their blades out of is not as easy to sharpen as other blades.

Case Peanut and Buck 303 were with me today next to the usual stuff ... (it was quiete some work to get these Altoids mints in Germany - but I finally found a shop in Berlin :D )
