You’re right I did post about it last year. We usually make apple butter every Fall and have for a whole lot of years. Not many people do it the old way anymore; it’s just been in the last ten years that we have electric motors to stir. Everybody has gotten so old and can’t hand stir anymore but hopefully we can get some of the young people more involved and go back to the old way again. It’s a tradition we look forward to every year.I remember looking at those a few years back (I don’t know if they had already been discontinued at that point) and being a bit surprised by the price. Not exactly expensive, of course, but more than I expected I guess. Still an interesting knife.
I don’t care how much Stuf they stuff in there, I’ll still take them apart and combine them to double the amount of Stuf. This is why I, too, try not to keep that sort of thing in the house.
