What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Finishing touches on the tree today, as well as some general other festive house decorations. A little lunch libation to balance things out.
Went and got a pretty Frasier fir yesterday, and did some lights. Tricked out the bay window in white icicle lights, and now Abbie, the cat, will not leave her spot there. Considers it her fancy palace.

A Farmer and a little lockback. The lockback is a memento of an Uncle passed. It never really leaves the house, but on days I don't either, I like to carry it as a remembrance. Today is a good day for it.

Great knives and memories. Abbie must be a very well behaved kitty. We no longer decorate as ours would literally climb the tree.
Knives in the pocket early…but then, there’s a little game going on in these parts. Go Tigers!!!

Great looking family.
It’s a fine thing when we have things with which to remember loved ones who’ve passed.
Besides Grandpa’s knives and fishing tackle, and Grandma’s garden tools and perennials, I wear some things my late son wore in Afghanistan. I wear this paracord bracelet, which is not the one he wore~ I wore that one out, and finally lost it when they had to cut it off my wrist at the hospital before an mri. This is a replacement from the same maker~ The Happy Swede.View attachment 1999433
And this bandana he wore against the dust, which has Psalm 91 on it. I have it on today.View attachment 1999434

BTW, Frazier and Balsam fir are my favorites for Christmas trees ~ soft and aromatic.👍🏻
Great ways to remember those gone home ahead of us.

She's a madcat, but its okay. We had a fake tree at one point and she would nest inside it for the season, batting ornaments off as quickly as we could put them on.
The natural trees, she considers part of her jungle I suppose. The dining room is a haven to quite a few plants.

She still is prone to unwrapping presents that aren't hers. Such is life in our little dwindling zoo.

Classic. I have more and more respect for the 14 after I have carried mine.

Beautiful family, buddy!
By the way, tongueriver tongueriver messaged me that my Craftsman stockman was almost certainly made by Ulster. And I have one like yours here, which was also Ulster made.
Win or lose, have fun.
Thanks Jeff!

No doubt. I have really enjoyed using this Ulster model after I had given my Schrade with the brass eagle to a buddy. Glad to have dudes like you and Cal tongueriver tongueriver to educate me on the Craftsman knives. Love ‘em.
Great game, nice knives and beautiful family. I will say go tigers since my Kansas has not done well in years.
Thanks Bob!

I’m sure the Jayhawks are used to looking past football to basketball season just like Clemson looks past basketball to get to football.

Great looking family.
Thank you sir!

I understand. The only room we could set up a tree is where our youngest kitty hangs out a lot. I understand what you mean. We have not decorated inside the house since Christmas of 2005 and I would trade all the decorations for the fun and joy we have had with ours.

Internet is S…L…O…W today. 🙄 Beautiful here now but rain moving in later today and tomorrow so I’m burning what’s left of the “Thanksgiving Weekend” pile. Someone has to do it. 😄 We will be picking out our tree today, family tradition, my son’s girlfriend will be joining us today, exciting to see the family grow. Have a great weekend everyone. 😊👍View attachment 1999291
I've never gone for the copper bolsters, but paired w/ the burlap micarta like that, well ... it's a fetching pattern. Lovely bit of kit
