What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying the Old Grand Dad knife around the house today, in the breast pocket of a wool vest, worn over a wool shirt. Dressing like this in the heated indoor comfort of my own home makes me feel like an old grand dad,..... which I am. 😃
Will only be with one of the six grandkids on Christmas Day this year, which is disappointing. Two have moved south and the other three have traveled there this year to spend Christmas them. Christmas Day here at our house with all the family is always my favorite day of the year.
Will be a bit of an adjustment for me this year.🎄

Very nice Forum Knife this year. GEC is going to have a lot of fun with this new handle shape. It will work with so many patterns. I can just see them now, Barlows, Cap Lifters, and hopefully a Zulu Spear! I would like to see patterns with a coping blade and punch as a secondary.

My 2022 Christmas carry, 3 knives is uncommon for me but I just couldn't decide on the pocket knife.

This year isn't going to be a knife Christmas for me, I'm not gifting any haven't bought myself any since August and won't be getting any for Christmas.

Lately my knife hobby has been sidelined a bit, as have the vintage fishing reel and airgun hobbies.
I've mostly been focusing on my tool and jacket / vest hobbies lately for some reason.
Same here, other than ordering the Forum knife.
I can just dig through a cigar box and find one I haven’t carried in a while ~ Merry Christmas to me! 🤪

Carrying this old Henckels whittler today. It has the thickest, stoutest main on any traditional I've ever seen. As you can see it has plenty of bark,it also has plenty of bite if you ain't careful!
That one’s awesome David! Merry Christmas.

Carrying a pair of Case knives today. A Half Whittler and a Medium Stockman, both in Pocket Worn Grey Bone.
Welcome to the Porch, buddy!

I feel your pain. Two 1000 miles west, three 900 miles SE. But we were blessed to have them all here for a week at Thanksgimg.

Make it a Merry one, Greg.😉

A bit of red and green today. It’s been a minute since I have seen a low of 11 degrees on a South Carolina forecast. But it’s here! Thoughts and prayers for y’all farther north where it will be so much more intense. Stay warm!

Two great ones as usual, Jon.

Lucy and our BF knife in the pocket today riding comfortably in a couple excellent slips from Jeremy sbh06 sbh06 .
Old to see Lucy out today, Jon, very nice!
It’s these two for me today. The wind is picking up and the snow is starting to fall so it’s inside pictures for me today. 😊View attachment 2023898View attachment 2023899
Ebony and…upgraded stag. Looks great, Todd.

I have this one with me today, being inspected…

47 degrees here today and was nice and calm this morning. I got out to Granny's diner for breakfast and decided to drive out the road to Pleasant Hill, one of my favorite places. Went to the gift shops to look around. They sell mostly hand crafted goods, which are USA made, a lot of them locally made.

Ended up buying another hand crafted stoneware coffee mug and nothing else caught my eye. They did have a hand made bunny coffee mug, but, I thought the price was too high. Should have slipped my bunny knife in front of it and taken a picture, but, I was afraid I might annoy the young lady that was at the register.

The forecast for high wind and snow tonight and a high of 0-5 degrees tomorrow just chills me to the bone, thinking about it. 🥶

Calm before the storm .................. with a Bunny in my pocket :

Schrade pulled out all the stops for that one!

That will be a slightly rough Christmas.
One thing I've learned from Agatha Christie, is never announce that you're going to change your will. Tell them after it's done.
