What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Meandering thoughts,not complaints 😁

I love everything about the Bunny knife, The wood, the blade, the size, the shape, everything, but mostly the sentiment.

However with our ridiculous custom charges its a bit over budget for myself now in the UK (they recently landed).

My washing machines has also just disintegrated so have to replace it and my injuries from my fall are hurting like hell,I can’t go out,I can’t even get my strides on 🤣

Sorry I thought I was Harry for a minute,woe is me 😂😂😂

I have had my UKPK to hand in the house,It’s not a favourite as such, but is easy to open and close one handed even with my left hand,no pics so I follow the rules.

Then today I remembered I have a 15 I never use that’s not got a strong pull.

My swollen/broken hand has subsided enough I can just hold it and open with my left without to much pain, hooray ❤️

Its Gabon ebony and simple just like the bunny, when my hands are healed I can use my half round file to give it the same lovely curve on the handle.🤔

Well maybe not 😇

Keep the Bunny’s coming,I especially like the story’s that come with them

Heres some numbers for you If you’ve got them and are looking for a connection

432 that’s the APC I worked on and drove with a British infantry battalion.

434 was the repair APC with a crane for pack lifts

252 that’s the charge sheet in the British army (only used a few times on myself)

101 that’s a band and also Room 101 is from an Aldous Huxley book

No photos of the open wounds on my knee and elbow, I hate it when people do that.
But I am amazed by these modern velcrow splints.
I can sit still and loosen it of to get some fresh air on my hand and occasionally put a cold flannel on it to cool down.

That’s about as much of a grip I have my fingers won’t bend all the way yet,see photo.

Didn't realise you broke your hand?!
Don't worry we can make a lefty of you, we have the technology😄
Nice knife
Get well soon mate👍👍

Took the dog out for his daily chasing of rabbits and squirrels. Beautiful day to be 'totin' this old Western.

Nice bunny...but I am jealous of that weather.
Looks like there is some history attached to the barn.
We bought our place about four years ago. 5 acres and a house that had been built in the 70s. The house was in real nice shape but the land has been neglected along with this barn. It was originally a much larger farm with cow pastures. In the first year I did enough to the barn to make sure that termites didn’t finish it off. But there’s still quite a bit to do. I’ve been slowly, but steadily, pulling vines off of every tree, putting in goat fences, swimming pools, forts, and anything else I can think of to keep four kids outside.

Lovely optimistic post.😃
I’ve been blamed of being overly optimistic, quite a bit in my life! By your post today, I think we fall in the same camp together! 😂😂😂

Great reply...good luck with all those challenges Jon.

Nice. Patina looking to develop nicely on the copper. 👍
Thanks Gordon. Really enjoying it. 😎👍
Dropping a group patina shot in the Boker thread. Will update a couple times through the year. See how thing develop.
Great idea. 😎👍
Thank you, Todd. :)
I think if I was to get rid of all my Traditional knives, I'd be forced to keep a Lambsfoot and a Sodbuster... they compliment each other perfectly.
Yes they do. 😎👍

Polished up my favorite knife so I can patina it all over again
Wow, it’s cleans up good! 😄👍

Your patience will be rewarded. I think you’ll like it!
You’re right, Jeff, thank you.

I just got home and opened up the forum knife. #456. First impression is very positive. I was certainly one of the later people to pre-order because I was going to pass originally and caved - it was the ebony covers that did it. Everything about this went fine by me. I’ll post pics to that thread tomorrow.

😲 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not so fast my friend ..... you haven't shown me the mark side. Nothin' to be concerned about on the pile side. 😉
Now Jiki, on the other hand, might need to be really concerned about his knife today .........
........... that's all I'm going to say at this point ............ never know if that threatening GT might be lurking about. 😉🤣
So you're seriously trying to make us believe that GT unhinges you more than what's on that knife???o_O The briefest of glances reveals a Rottweiler with rabies or a stalking Siberian Tiger, take your choice:eek: In the meantime, Run for your lives men!🏃‍♂️🦿
