Pros on the hat: comfortable fit. Looks good if that style appeals to you. Very well made with sturdy stitching.
Red Head is a great old brand that I know from their hunting coats and vests. I have a shirt from them that will outlast me.
Cons: Offshore production, in this case Sri Lanka. So the price was low. BUT, and it’s a big but, although it looks like suede leather, it is polyurethane. And it does not breathe. That means I can’t wear it unless it’s cold enough.

In retrospect, I should have kept looking and bought one in real leather.
Thank you sir for the hat information. I like a hat the breathes too. Agree on redhead being a good brand, old-school wise. Not so much anymore
The Barlow is nice but the stockman is my preference. Both are great looking knives my friend.
Mini trapper in the pocket again
3rd straight day in a row
The heck is this?!

Looks like a great lunch to me.

Planning on going to Tennessee tomorrow, so I'll mostly be off the grid for a while. Taking these traditionals with me. I also always take a brass and ebony Buck 110, but it was hanging out with a couple of leathermans (leathermen?) and the non-traditionals and blew off the photo shoot
Y'all have a good week

Thanks Bob. Hard to believe that I used to travel with no more than a 3 and a quarter inch stockman eeksmaller.jpg
How did I survive? :D

I haven't been down there since Thanksgiving. After the bitter cold in December, I'm hoping I don't have any broken pipes when I turn the water on 🤞

Wish you luck with your findings.
I used to camp in the Adirondacks with a buck 301. My base was a cabin sold last year just outside Lake Placid.

That's good-looking and really interesting. I don't know much about Hubertus, but I thought they were all automatics. Cool to see something else from them.
It is an automatic😉 Video on my Instagram 👇
