Some quotes from Monday and Tuesday - of LAST week!

I just toted a single knife the past few days. Yesterday, I carried one of my Carbon bladed Opinel No. 8's. I sliced up a pepper, mushrooms, and a onion with it. It did a nice job, but, I'll have to say I prefer my Henckels kitchen knives for food work.

Today I will make it a European made threesome. 😊

Terrific trio!

Very cool pocket worn Pioneer, my friend!
Thanks, Jeff. Most of the wear occurred before I bought the knife, but it's one of my knife finds I'm most proud of!

I got both of these new when GEC's were more easily obtainable from dealers and put 'em into service immediately to earn their patinas. The 72 lock back in 2016 and the
56 Birddog in 2018. I recall dropping the 56 on the concrete basement floor the first day I had it and dinging the end cap.
Have a good start to your week folks. :)

That pair looks like they've been earning their keep, Greg!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I admire how frequently you tote this lambsfoot, John.

Lots of critters in South Africa, I reckon ................... can't say any more than that as I keep gettin' threatened.  šŸ¤¬šŸ˜‰šŸ¤£
Surely everyone can at least see that Great Horned Owl near the center .......... got to go quiet now. What would happen to my beloved Elijah J. if I get committed ? šŸ¤”:(😢
Seems like your getting committed is a worst case scenario, but I'm sure they'd allow you to take your emotional support Maine Coon with you, Rob! šŸ¤“

😁..have no fear I will visit you with snacks Mr.PView attachment 2040618
😁 You're a friend indeed, Bob!

Have a good day everyone :) Carrying my Hartshead Barlow, and my Abbeydale Jack :)

Thanks for the supportive comments on my sowbelly stockman selection(s), Todd & Jim & Jack; one of my top 3 favorite patterns.
Jack, distinguished pair you posted! Both former KOTY for you, IIRC; I've always been a big fan of your Abbeydale Jack.

A pair of John Primble jacks for Tuesday. 😊

I'm not exactly sure what "pick bone" is, but I'd nominate both of those as fine examples of what I think it ought to be!

Love the Grand Groove down your Ashley's Choice Lambsfoot!

My jeans are not on, because I have on sweat pants to work out in. Well, I got as far as putting on sweat pants…
Notable pair of knives, Jeff, and notable trio if we include that Swiss Army 7 (or whatever it's called) at the center of your garden story.
Regarding the sweat pants, some folks say it's important to "dress for success" or "choose the right clothes for the job", that kind of stuff.

Looked successful to me; what did you think of the attempt?

Phenomenal golden brown pair of knives on your golden brown planks, Steve!

I’m actually not too worried about my weight. I’m trying to stave off more knee surgery, and the spectre of replacement by building up the muscles around the knees. Squats with weights, etc.
Good luck! That's something I should work on. I pretend that I'm in good shape for my age, but I think my thighs are wasting away. Climbing stairs 2 at a time and getting up from a bench, toilet, or low chair are not as effortless as they used to be. I walk at least 50 miles most weeks, but I don't think that helps with maintaining "power" in the upper legs.

Couple of vintage bone beauties!

I asked Mr. Beaver if he wanted to borrow my Western 461 whittler. He said "Gnaw, I'm good". ;)

Your whittler is wonderful, which is more than I'll say for your pun!
(Love the box elder bug in all 3 shots.)

Good morning, Porcheteers. I haven't posted much the past few weeks. When your 89 year old mother is visiting, you can't be caught staring at phone screens all the time. ;)

I'm carrying my KOTY: the JOTS, plus an old Case congress in honor of this years "Vault Release" thinking about picking one up, but my old one still has some blade left.

Popeye inspired me to ask Mom if we could have spinach. She was surprised I wanted spinach, and I was surprised spinach didn't come black in a squeeze-can.
0kmujZV.jpg

It must a What Came First, The Chicken Or The Egg kind of deal.
You have to eat the spinach so you’re strong enough to squeeze the can, but you have to squeeze the can to eat it?

I think folks who’re not fond of spinach, like Will Power Will Power , were made to eat it from a can as young’uns.
Fresh spinach, raw in salad, or sauteed is entirely different. Which is why I buy spinach seeds in bulk.
Or maybe,as Popeye The Sailorman said to Olive Oyl, ā€œI is all over with wetā€.
Spotted on the way to GEC this morning.

A convoy of trucks with material for the latest knife covers, its going to be a big production run so no one misses out and everyones happy. 😁

how on Earth don’t they collapse under the weight?
Since the store says Drugs and not Chemist, I’ll guess that photo is from the USA, and those are Redwood logs.

Yep lots of blade left there, my friend! 😜
