What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

So no pic
Just got home from burying my father and had to fly back to NY
With no pocket knife the entire time

So when I got home today I, of course, threw the ugly yeller mini trapper back in my pocket

So no, everything is not right in the world again
But a little more normal...I suppose
My words cannot change events. Let them tell you of my deepest sympathy for you.

A recent find - Junkerwerk Solingen with horn scales. Love the curved bolsters….minor tidy up and straight into the pocket.

One of the things I appreciate about the stuff in my pockets is the continuity they bring at times like those. Small stuff but everything helps. Condolences to you.

I have a couple 18s as well. Don't think I have a strong preference between the 2 patterns. Square vs round bolsters and pen vs spey blade. I like them both!
I've always been a fan of the 18s but never had use for a spey blade, I much prefer the pen. Now if I could find an 18 with a pen instead of a spey, that would be golden.

So sorry.

My father has been gone for years and I still miss him.

They live on in our memories and through the lessons they taught us and which we pass on to those who follow us.

I took this photo in the mountains in SE Arizona, one of the most peaceful places I’ve been. The words are from a poet long ago.

I made this thinking of him. Hope it helps bring some peace to you and your family.

Condolences on the passing of your father. May his memory bring you peace and comfort

Those two vintage Robesons are the perfect Friday choice my friend :)
Thank you for your kind words, Jack!!! :)
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend :) Starting mine with my Hartshead Barlow, and a Brisa Kephart, probably drop the Kephart if I go to town ;)

You certainly paired up a couple of beauties for your Saturday totes; I love the kephart blade shape as well as the wonderful wood on your Brisa!😃👍👍

Really cool photo Bart, hope you enjoyed your “sodas” 😄👍
Thanks, Todd. I always enjoy the “sodas”. Unfortunately they were in cans so I didn’t get to use the cap lifter.
That one is a beauty, Rob.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Some fat stag for Saturday. 😎👍View attachment 2061939
That’s a nice one, Todd. Case needs to pull
more of these old patterns out of the vault👍

All this time I just thought it was a name GEC gave to one of its patterns. You learn something new all the time.
Indeed you do.
I also thought it was nothing more than a humorous name GEC coined for the 2022 knife until I googled it.
