You're up there in lake run country aren't you? I've fished the streams around Rochester a few times for big lake run browns and rainbows in the winter.

I'm in Syracuse. It's been a few years, but we used to fish the Salmon River up in Pulaski when they were running. I pretty much stick to the local trout streams now.

Heh I just had to fly back to buffalo
I knew it was cold
I remembered to bring layers

I apparently underestimated it, or just got soft being in the south for the past 20+ years

Pretty sure the only fishin you doin in January is ice fishing

That's usually true, but we haven't had much of a winter so far. Buffalo got hit pretty hard though. My dad used to take us ice fishing when we were kids. Talk about being cold! I'd give most anything to be able to go shiver on the frozen lake with him again.

Nice JJ! Let me know how you get on with the Stinger I've been messing around with my Tactical the past few days, adding the option to easily change the prods/'limbs', replacing the trigger, and a few other things.
