What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks buddy, I have played around with it (and the Compact) a fair bit :) Some of the accessories are worth buying, others are junk I think, all are overpriced! The language can be bizarre (eg 'Throwing arm', 'fixation') :D
Nice set-up JJ, that looks like a good quality sling, and I like your choice of cutlery  :)
I did order the red/green dot site hoping it is ok... o_O The trigger group is my next potential move? :)
Thank you for your very kind words, Jack!!! 😃
Have a good day everyone :) Got my Hartshead Barlow, and a Random Tuesday Remington Balloon Penknife :)

Your Random Remington is really a class act, it makes a super cool pairing with your Hartshead Barlow beauty; looks like a new trigger group is going in!;)👍👍

Two steps forward, one step back is still in the right direction, right?
I practice pretty much every day.
It’s suposed to help🥴

Technically, it’s not a TL-29. TL-29 is a govt. acronym for Tool, Linesman’s 1929.
Camillus differentiated .govt contract knives, TL-29, from the ones made for the civilian market by calling those TL-27.

Anyway, enough splitting hairs. You have a Klein Electrician’s Knife. Nearly all of Klein’s products were/are aimed at the trades, mostly electricians. You can still find a Klein section of tools in the electrical section of a good hardware store, although I think most is offshore produced now.

Yours has a hawkbill main. Which made it perfect for cutting openings in drywall in installing electrical boxes, etc. Very useful.

I have several Kleins, including one three blader that has a hawk, a spear, and of course the awesome screwdriver/wire stripper blade.
Good knives made for the trades.
I was under the impression that Klein made their own tools, but had the Klein-branded knives made for them. My Klein TL-29 from a couple years ago is supposedly made by Utica (and it looks like an Utica, to me). I have been informed that the newer Klein TL-29s are stainless and made in China, however. I don't know if they still make their own tools.

I carried my new wharncliffe trapper today. There’s no better blade for cutting open bags of salt, and I like that I can pinch it open with my gloves on.

That jigged bone is absolutely stunning! What an incredible knife. I'd love to have one like this, who is the maker sir?

There are some great old(er) threads here on BF about Kleins as well as TL-29/Linesman/Electrician knives!
And yes~ most seem to agree that Utica/Kutmaster and Camillus made these for Klein.
Such a great pattern with a long history.

Tyson~ check out this thread…

Thank you Mr. Jack !
I enjoyed your walk photos over in the Lambs thread, especially the ones with wings.😍
Thank you Mr P, I missed a pic of two of the swans taking flight, as an older couple stepped in to ask me about something, as I was to take the shot. I had a nice conversation with them, and tried not to let the pain show on my face :D

I also have the sight, though I managed to find the same model at half the price on ebay. The trigger replacement makes a big difference, but I had to order mine from Austria, and it cost a lot for a couple of small pieces of plastic. Maybe you can get one 3-D printed?

Many thanks JJ, it might be the first time I've carried the Remington :) While replacing the trigger, I managed to drop the spring, and it took me at least half an hour to find it! :D
I was toting my favorite Trapper today. :)
A beautiful beast my friend, great lines

Have a great day everyone
