What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I already have my firewood split, but sometimes I just want some smaller pieces. The Monster Maul is good if you only have a few pieces, and makes quick work of the gnarly stuff, but it's not a maul you'd want to use all day. The Bunny Knife was no help at all.

Very nice. I’ll bet your canine friend thinks so too. 😉
Attentively supervising the process...

I've been trying to develop some appreciation for the stockman; and, accordingly, have been dropping a Case or Colonial in my pocket at least a couple times/week. It's the Colonial today, with a Hess riding my belt (I really like the Hess, but don't carry it much because I really dislike the sheath.)

Not a bad Conductor at all Harry. If you want really ugly Stag to contemplate, here's the Burnt Offering I got
It's kept in a slip too, but only to hide it away...the Pile side is not much better either- bookmarked flamethrowered specials ? o_O

I guess I can't disagree with you Will . I gave this one to my youngest Grandson because I kept the one that I liked best . I can now say that I have given all of my Grandsons a Stag Northfield knife .

Old Engineer Old Engineer , and Will,
I think both of your knives have nice looking stag. Will, yours looks like some dropped antlers I’ve seen, with the ravages of weather, but before the rodents find them and chew them up.

I had some elk scraps that I used on this Camillus. The bark that was on it was unremarkable, and as I polished down the ends, I decided to go all the way and polish them entirely. The result is kind of plain compared to craggy stag, but feels silky smooth, like polished bone. Almost as smooth as genuine Delrin®️🤪

Very nice work on the coat Jeff. Two fine pieces of cutlery.

As Bob said earlier, I'm tired, applies to me now, as I have spent a good portion of yesterday and this morning cleaning up this old knife. A picked bone New York Knife Company pre-Hammer Brand tang stamp, which I expect puts this Eureka Jack from the 1890-1910 era. Rare to see a clip main on any Eureka Jack. Anyhow, I am glad to add it to my collection and will tote it the rest of the day. 😊

3 and 5/8ths" closed.

Carrying a Kissing Cranes whittler in stag and a Schatt & Morgan Barlow in some nice winter bottom bone today. The whittler sees a fair amount of pocket carry.
Not sure why but I've had the Barlow for about 7 years and haven't really carried or used it much, it 's really a perfectly solid knife with great blade action and cuts with
the best of them. :)
