It's gonna be a boring but important day. We're calling our insurance company to verify and go over our life insurance policies. Nobody is expecting to take a dirt nap but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. Sausage and waffles for breakfast. This #86 2AB Barlow will make a good carry while declining insurance coverage amounts and increased premium rates. Bless those little insurance agents hearts - they just can't help themselves trying to increase benefit/coverage amounts.

Hope the insurance man didn't get you too bad, Ed. Love the 86. It is one of my favorites. Have a great day.

This was out of the local paper, probably the Seymour one .

The date on the photo is not the day he retired . He probably retired in about 1980 or so . The article tells the location . I was not there to see it .

Harry

That’s a great story about your dad, Harry, and neat that it made the paper! 🙂 Here’s an old newspaper clipping of my dad “on the job.”

That’s one reason I refuse to count my knives!

I won’t make that mistake again! (Ah, who am I kidding? I probably will. I’ve even got a spreadsheet. Need to add a few knives to it and get it up to date.)

The Oregon Trapper is special to me, not only for it’s quality, but mainly because Chief gave it to me in honor of my son.

Gifted knives are the best, and I’ve been blessed.

That’s a really special knife, Jeff.

I have my new 68 with me today! I hope everyone is having a nice Wednesday.

That’s a nice one! Not the flashiest jigged bone GEC has done, but fits really nicely with the knife.

I grabbed these two today for What-A-Wooden-Wednesday.

Nice picture of your father and your knives. I like both of those folders quite a bit ! ⭐

I do the spreadsheet thing too ..... Description ... model no .... type of steel .... year made ... price paid .... where I got it ..... totals at the bottom, which I rarely look at.😊

Ohh no - he's about to wash my non-permanent decal of Peter off my bunny knife !:thumbsup:😍🤣
Neat picture !

Cream tea £3.50 that will do nicely thank you.

Jam first Cornish style of course 🤭

New money clip SAK is a great into town carry in my little EDC,I use the clip to secure it in the pouch.

I also carry plasters which came in handy at the gig on Sunday, handing 2 to a guitarist who had cut his finger.

He then played on,never underestimate the constant exciting times I live in (not) 😂😂😂

Gordon, I like the Livri a lot. It's a nice robust knife, well made and easy on the eyes. The M390 steel is a bonus, the nice wide blade makes it a good slicer. It came super sharp too.

Thanks. I've been eyeing one for a while. Might pick one up later this year, depending on things go.
